So, a group of Senate republicans offered a compromise plan that approved "wall funding in exchange for temporary safeguards for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals"? (italics mine) But Trump rejected even this weak-assed idea, even before the Democrats could reject it. I guess he's still "proud" to accept responsibility for this impasse, which is only right, since is entirely his fault.

He obviously wants the shutdown to continue for some reason. If it was about the border wall they would have funded it at some point in the past two years.
