Don't Chelsea already have a Pulisic in Hudson-Odoi?
― lbi's life of limitless european glamour (Le Bateau Ivre), Wednesday, 2 January 2019 10:53 (seven years ago)
talk was that he was on his way out. Although they rejected a 20m bid from Bayern last week
City and Chelsea's record with youth players is abysmal in any case
― Number None, Wednesday, 2 January 2019 11:32 (seven years ago)
Ah I see. Would be vmic for them to sell off one talent to buy another one (for too much cash)

Xpost Looks good business, still only 20 with plenty of experience and a big way in the commercial side of the US, only worry for Chelsea is are they preparing for hazard wanting to go to Madrid in the summer
― . (Michael B), Wednesday, 2 January 2019 12:54 (seven years ago)
Not necessarily, Pulisic can play on the right and would still represent an upgrade on Willian or Pedro.
― Matt DC, Wednesday, 2 January 2019 13:24 (seven years ago)
Would be vmic for Chelsea to sign one young talent to replace another, and the replaced one end up being the better player
― imago, Wednesday, 2 January 2019 13:41 (seven years ago)
I mean it's happened three or four times this decade so...
― Matt DC, Wednesday, 2 January 2019 13:51 (seven years ago)
Our game was moved to tonight from yeserday. Assumed that was because TV, but doesn't look like it. I was supposed to be going for dinner and match as a birthday treat but couldn't make it cos of new job rota. I mean, we'll probably scrape a draw, but ffs life

it looks like we are signing Jason Puncheon on loan. Maybe if I blast out some ASAP Rocky and pretend I'm still under 40 I can fool myself that it's 2011, and this is a cracking signing for our league one playoffs push.

― alomar lines, Thursday, 3 January 2019 20:52 (seven years ago)
Looking at this it was probably a mistake for Klopp to have gone with Milner and Hendo over Fabinho and Keita.
― Matt DC, Thursday, 3 January 2019 21:11 (seven years ago)
Hard to say, definitely a bit more dynamic and attacking but City could've picked us off a bit easier too
― . (Michael B), Thursday, 3 January 2019 22:30 (seven years ago)
Fabinho made a difference but Keita is more of an idea than a footballer so far. He's contributed nothing to Liverpool's season
― Number None, Thursday, 3 January 2019 22:36 (seven years ago)
that must be the highest quality game this season by some distance, despite some shaky defensive play from city, pep parking the bus at the end and liverpool running out of ideas
― ogmor, Friday, 4 January 2019 00:19 (seven years ago)
Rally? I thought it was lacking in quality, some nice goals aside. Both teams seemed very nervous
― Number None, Friday, 4 January 2019 00:29 (seven years ago)
There was a lot of flailing around in the box alright, but apart from the goal and the Sane incident, Liverpool barely created anything and City looked fairly shambolic at both ends most of the time
― Number None, Friday, 4 January 2019 00:32 (seven years ago)
It was certainly exciting though
it was cagey and tense but occasionally explosive and the movement and pace were excellent. I thought it would be more cautious and likely to be defined by some individual error but it was surprisingly satisfying and balanced. my mate at the game was v effusive in his praise & excitement, seemed a good atmosphere. I am enjoying this city-liverpool/pep-klopp rivalry, it is less odious than any of the other Big Club PL rivalries I can recall
― ogmor, Friday, 4 January 2019 00:39 (seven years ago)
we dont have any rivalries ;_;
