Like nobody’s trying to say they retroactively didn’t find him funny or moving in the past, he could be telling good jokes (he isn’t; he’s telling hacky transphobic jokes) and it still wouldn’t be funny because he is an unrepentant sex criminal.

There's probably a 100% overlap between people who will go and see a comedian in the full knowledge that he's a sexual abuser and people who will lap up a basic anti-snowflake routine. He's pretty transparently playing up to the one remaining constituency that still likes him.
