it makes me think about the Crewe Way + how they used to be held up as the platonic ideal of a lower league club. But some ppl remembered him quite fondly because the fuckwit that followed him (Mick Wadsworth) was comfortably our worst post-war manager and took us down to L2.

There's probably never been a better time for English football fans to enjoy good, exciting, attacking, technical football that also wins games, certainly compared to the Mourinho imperial phase. You shouldn't have to choose these days.
