I have been absent-minded since I can remember, it's ADHD, not senility.

I find random words and phrases pop out of my head way more often lately (I'm 40).

Last week I was talking to my therapist about eye doctors, and I was like "What's the proper name for the balls in your eyes?" and he was like, "Uh, eyeballs?"

Oh, now you're making it sound gross.

"Haha, you've got a pair of balls stuck in your face."

I had a bag of peanuts next to my tobacco pouch, so I scattered peanuts on the rolling paper. My mind just kind of froze, trying to figure out what was wrong.

at work today i stood beside a trashcan with a full cup of coffee with a couple of disposable doodads of milk to put in my coffee

i opened the first milk doodad & caught myself about to pour the milk in the trash & put empty doodad in coffee instead of vice versa

i must remain vigilant at all times

watching TV yesterday and said "oh I like her jumper, I'm sure I have one like that"

I was wearing the identical jumper at the time

I just put the sugar in the fridge...

...I have no idea where I put the milk.

I started putting hot pepper sauce on my granddaughter's bowl of pasta instead of mine. Lifted out the pieces affected and stirred the rest together with some cheese. Sorted.

Had a dream last night that I had to go back to college and I'm blaming that somehow for why I forgot to wear a belt today.

I have this jar of dried chili flakes that I always forget doesn't have a sprinkler bit on the top, it's just open, so several times I've just dumped like quarter of a jar on my/ my kids' food then had to try and scrape it off

Hate it when I forget to wear a belt. No one ever says anything, but man. Might as well be wearing a leotard.

Today I was hanging out laundry - took out a grey tshirt and wondered why I hadn't remembered it was dip-dye/ ombre effect. Considered that perhaps the bottom half had somehow got a bit dryer during the spin section of the cycle with the top half staying wetter (it was quite a small load), but it didn't feel unevenly damp.

Took me a minute or so to remember I was wearing gradient tinted sunglasses 😎

There's a very famous actress who's starred on a TV show, been in movies, written books... and I can not remember her name. I can sure as hell remember her character's name, but not her IRL name.

I can see her face, hear her voice, name all of the other actors she's done work with. I can even see the book cover in my mind, but I can not for the life of me remember her name.

I could google the answer in four seconds, but I'd really, really like to figure this one out on my own.

I couldn’t remember Aaron Paul’s name in a pub quiz. All I could come up with was “it’s two first names... one of them might be Brian?”

I swear I picked up biscuits at the store during my first visit there in a week. I even remember scanning them because the bar code was partially hidden by a seam in the packaging. So where are they now?

This is not the first time this has happened.

I went a week of trying to remember the actress' name on my own, but finally had to confess to my wife what was happening.

She acted her name out in Charades and when it finally hit me, it felt like one of my brain lobes folded open, like turning to the M's in an oversized dictionary on display in a bookstore.
