Apparently Jokanovic was Ranieri's first signing at Chelsea.

probably buying money to bet on Hughes getting pumped during international break.
― calzino, Wednesday, 14 November 2018 11:32 (seven years ago)
I think sacking some of the other backroom staff might buy him a little time. Dunno how I feel about it, I used to have a soft spot for Southampton but everything Hughes touches becomes ugly and unlikeable, and fuck that want-wit Austin for eternity
― two Barongs don't make a Wight (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 14 November 2018 11:36 (seven years ago)
for a brief second I thought I saw Austin's semi submerged corpse in that WW1 in colour pile of wank by Peter Jackson the other night, best moment of the whole thing tbh.
― calzino, Wednesday, 14 November 2018 11:43 (seven years ago)
Would Brendan Rodgers be happy managing Southampton though?
― ROCK MUSIC (Tom D.), Wednesday, 14 November 2018 13:47 (seven years ago)
Brendan Rodgers won't really be happy managing anyone. He is always at odds with some part of whatever organisation he's at, I reckon it must be some kind of power game he plays. He went into Liverpool saying he wouldn't work under a Director of Football despite him having a fairly light CV for a job of that magnitude. Because FSG didn't have a fucking clue about football, they blinked first. Then at the heart of things going to shit at Liverpool was his inability to agree on who to buy because he kept shifting styles in an attempt to cover his team's most recent mistake. He can clearly get any group of players playing decent passing, attacking football but when it goes wrong it really tends to go badly wrong.
Also his record in Europe is positively abysmal, but I doubt that'd be a problem at Saints.

Having seen the replay maybe Jorginho and Luiz made that look better than it was but still that was lovely.
― Matt DC, Saturday, 24 November 2018 18:44 (seven years ago)
there was minimal skill in it, but entertaining all the same
― Number None, Saturday, 24 November 2018 18:46 (seven years ago)
it would be cool to be a child or someone who had started watching football quite recently so I could be confident of three points

poetically good tackle from Aurier

I haven't been remotely concerned throughout this game, Chelsea have been that awful.

I'll be wandering through remote parts of Ossett listening to the dab in the rain by the time Super Sunday el massivo kicks off today NV. All I can say is we have hit the woodwork more times than Man City this season and still never look like scoring apart from set pieces and directly from Billing long throws! I predict a thoroughly dull 1-0 win for Wolves in a game where we at least deserved a point, ho hum.
― calzino, Sunday, 25 November 2018 14:27 (seven years ago)
I'm back in the pub, I expect to type increasingly incomprehensible bollocks and get all emotional about Gibbs White and/or Nuno sometime around 6
― Bound 4 da Remoan (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 25 November 2018 15:47 (seven years ago)
Looks like I picked the wrong week to give up sniffing glue.
― Bound 4 da Remoan (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 25 November 2018 16:55 (seven years ago)
Kudos calz, I mean no disrespect to Hudds but that was the worst I've ever seen us play under Nuno. Praying that's a blip. Hudds absolutely worth the win.
― Bound 4 da Remoan (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 25 November 2018 18:02 (seven years ago)
not had time to take any of it in other than seeing a shot of a goal saved by 13mm by Billing's gangly leg!
― calzino, Sunday, 25 November 2018 18:07 (seven years ago)
scuse the English language abandoning me, just having my tea!
― calzino, Sunday, 25 November 2018 18:13 (seven years ago)
Should have had at least 2 more in the first half tbf
― Bound 4 da Remoan (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 25 November 2018 18:22 (seven years ago)
I've only just taken in the magnitude of this win, from the bottom of the shit-pile mini league to the summit* in one game - crazy stuff!
* 2nd really cos West Ham don't seem to have much depth outside 1 or 2 of their star players and could easily get dragged into the mire as well.
― calzino, Sunday, 25 November 2018 21:51 (seven years ago)
West Ham have 7 league games remaining this year and 6 of them are against teams currently below them so I'll guess we'll soon know whether they're going to get sucked in.
― groovypanda, Monday, 26 November 2018 08:30 (seven years ago)
last time against us Arnautovic couldn't be arsed turning up and it was 2 pts dropped, they were awful. Pellegrini doesn't seem up to much for allegedly one of the highest paid managers in England.
― calzino, Monday, 26 November 2018 09:19 (seven years ago)
Thread seems to have been well titled tbh.
― Monica Kindle (Tom D.), Monday, 26 November 2018 10:15 (seven years ago)
lol Brighton OG at 56 secs, all from a Billing long throw into the box as well.
― calzino, Saturday, 1 December 2018 15:04 (seven years ago)
oops not an OG, a Zanka header.
― calzino, Saturday, 1 December 2018 15:06 (seven years ago)
straight red for Mounie and desrved as well, the fucking idiot!

lol our fans booing the ref and there is still a chunk of Bissouma's knee on the pitch.
