Drug test now

two Barongs don't make a Wight (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 11 November 2018 23:47 (seven years ago)

bbc making a hoo-hah about the 44-pass goal, ignoring that it was scored from a routine cross that some centre-back (matic) just didn't bother defending

imago, Monday, 12 November 2018 10:43 (seven years ago)

*(matic?)

imago, Monday, 12 November 2018 10:43 (seven years ago)

More significant might be United's inability to break up the previous 43 passes despite having had three defensive midfielders on the pitch at the time.

Matt DC, Monday, 12 November 2018 10:50 (seven years ago)

I don't know whether it's galling or impressive that KDB, the best player in the league last season, is barely even missed by them right now.

Matt DC, Monday, 12 November 2018 10:52 (seven years ago)

we're too stupid to even commit a tactical foul in that scenario. Fernandinho (who seems to be totally immune to yellow cards) was doing it all game

Also Matic's brain appears to have atrophied along with his legs

Number None, Monday, 12 November 2018 12:13 (seven years ago)

think he should confiscate Fred's greggs loyalty card and give him a run in the team, can't be worse than matic at the moment.

thomasintrouble, Monday, 12 November 2018 13:52 (seven years ago)

Fred has looked dreadful on the occasions I've seen him, the whole midfield is a mess of cloggers and water carriers with only Pogba offering anything different and he can't be expected to do everything on his own. You badly need a real playmaker to complement him, just someone who can knit play together properly and transition the ball from deep and there doesn't appear to be one in your squad.

Matt DC, Monday, 12 November 2018 14:35 (seven years ago)

Pereira could possibly be a version of that player, but Mourinho clearly doesn't fancy him

The Fred transfer looks pretty baffling at this point. He's had some good moments when he's played (although he has been erratic) but again, Mourinho doesn't seem to trust him enough to give him a run of games, whereas Matic can stink the place up week in week out and still complete 90 minutes of every match

Number None, Monday, 12 November 2018 14:45 (seven years ago)

always unpleasant to be reminded of the existence of miguel delaney, who occasionally takes time out from writing cliched drivel to be a massive cunt

Apparently there's a bunch of Delaney's football writer friends who have a problem with me tweeting about art? And he wanted to make sure that I knew? Shame he couldn't really hide their names well enough. pic.twitter.com/C6x6MBxs1L

Jokanovic out, Ranieri in at Fulham.

Grandpont Genie, Wednesday, 14 November 2018 09:46 (seven years ago)

Apparently Jokanovic was Ranieri's first signing at Chelsea.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 14 November 2018 10:35 (seven years ago)

probably buying money to bet on Hughes getting pumped during international break.

calzino, Wednesday, 14 November 2018 11:32 (seven years ago)

I think sacking some of the other backroom staff might buy him a little time. Dunno how I feel about it, I used to have a soft spot for Southampton but everything Hughes touches becomes ugly and unlikeable, and fuck that want-wit Austin for eternity

two Barongs don't make a Wight (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 14 November 2018 11:36 (seven years ago)

for a brief second I thought I saw Austin's semi submerged corpse in that WW1 in colour pile of wank by Peter Jackson the other night, best moment of the whole thing tbh.

calzino, Wednesday, 14 November 2018 11:43 (seven years ago)

Would Brendan Rodgers be happy managing Southampton though?

ROCK MUSIC (Tom D.), Wednesday, 14 November 2018 13:47 (seven years ago)

Brendan Rodgers won't really be happy managing anyone. He is always at odds with some part of whatever organisation he's at, I reckon it must be some kind of power game he plays. He went into Liverpool saying he wouldn't work under a Director of Football despite him having a fairly light CV for a job of that magnitude. Because FSG didn't have a fucking clue about football, they blinked first. Then at the heart of things going to shit at Liverpool was his inability to agree on who to buy because he kept shifting styles in an attempt to cover his team's most recent mistake. He can clearly get any group of players playing decent passing, attacking football but when it goes wrong it really tends to go badly wrong.

Also his record in Europe is positively abysmal, but I doubt that'd be a problem at Saints.

still wackford after all these squeers (DJ Mencap), Saturday, 24 November 2018 18:44 (seven years ago)

Having seen the replay maybe Jorginho and Luiz made that look better than it was but still that was lovely.

Matt DC, Saturday, 24 November 2018 18:44 (seven years ago)

there was minimal skill in it, but entertaining all the same

Number None, Saturday, 24 November 2018 18:46 (seven years ago)

it would be cool to be a child or someone who had started watching football quite recently so I could be confident of three points

still wackford after all these squeers (DJ Mencap), Saturday, 24 November 2018 18:49 (seven years ago)

poetically good tackle from Aurier

still wackford after all these squeers (DJ Mencap), Saturday, 24 November 2018 19:08 (seven years ago)

I haven't been remotely concerned throughout this game, Chelsea have been that awful.

Bound 4 da Remoan (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 25 November 2018 13:03 (seven years ago)

I'll be wandering through remote parts of Ossett listening to the dab in the rain by the time Super Sunday el massivo kicks off today NV. All I can say is we have hit the woodwork more times than Man City this season and still never look like scoring apart from set pieces and directly from Billing long throws! I predict a thoroughly dull 1-0 win for Wolves in a game where we at least deserved a point, ho hum.

calzino, Sunday, 25 November 2018 14:27 (seven years ago)

I'm back in the pub, I expect to type increasingly incomprehensible bollocks and get all emotional about Gibbs White and/or Nuno sometime around 6

Bound 4 da Remoan (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 25 November 2018 15:47 (seven years ago)

Looks like I picked the wrong week to give up sniffing glue.
