of any celebrity I ever interviewed Fallon was the nicest and most down to earth

Greta Van Fleek (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Monday, 5 November 2018 16:08 (seven years ago)

agreed on Pete Davidson - hard to think of someone who is so uncharismatic and brings so little to the table. the navy seal joke is getting a lot of heat from the right wing, apparently NBC apologized? if he gets cut loose (doubt it), i suspect it'd be the final straw rather than the joke alone. i mean, Lorne clearly likes him/has a soft spot for him. remember when he was allowed to take a hiatus from the show to go to rehab for smoking weed? (...and then go on weekend update to talk about it.... ugh.....)

flappy bird, Monday, 5 November 2018 17:52 (seven years ago)

yeah I'm sure it was for smoking weed

( ͡☉ ͜ʖ ͡☉) (jim in vancouver), Monday, 5 November 2018 17:59 (seven years ago)

I didn't get the appeal of Pete Davidson until I saw him in that netflix romcom. I like his weekend update monologues but never knew what he really did on the show. Maybe he's a strong writer? I give a shit about his eyepatch joke.

Yerac, Monday, 5 November 2018 18:03 (seven years ago)

right, one would think so, but Lorne letting someone back on the show after going to rehab for hard drugs seems... insane? especially when it's PD. idfk. he definitely is entering a Chevy Chase sorta phase where the antics outside the show are getting more press

xp

flappy bird, Monday, 5 November 2018 18:04 (seven years ago)

an eyepatch joke could be good but this, there was nothing there. just like all of his Weekend Update monologues

flappy bird, Monday, 5 November 2018 18:06 (seven years ago)

Lorne letting someone back on the show after going to rehab for hard drugs seems... insane?

that might be the only decent human thing lorne michaels ever did

Greta Van Fleek (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Monday, 5 November 2018 18:06 (seven years ago)

exactly

flappy bird, Monday, 5 November 2018 18:08 (seven years ago)

lol for real

Οὖτις, Monday, 5 November 2018 18:10 (seven years ago)

cosigning matt on fallon; my experience with him in person is that he's genuinely one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. not funny, but quite a nice guy.

Fuck the NRA (ulysses), Monday, 5 November 2018 20:45 (seven years ago)

yea I've never heard a bad word about him, I'm not really a fan but I'm happy he's been successful. (see also: Adam Sandler)

frogbs, Monday, 5 November 2018 21:28 (seven years ago)

i wouldn't doubt it has a lot to do with his rise above his talent level in the industry, just being nice and polite to ppl especially ppl on their way up

Greta Van Fleek (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Monday, 5 November 2018 21:36 (seven years ago)

I'm happy he's been successful

imagine a talk show hosted by someone who can actually speak a complete sentence though

Sing The Mighty Beat (sic), Monday, 5 November 2018 21:37 (seven years ago)

i heard the "hitman in a porno" line this morning on the news, then i GIS'd Crenshaw and lol'd

harm'n'killabro (rip van wanko), Monday, 5 November 2018 21:47 (seven years ago)

man if the chuds are upset about this wait till they hear some of the things Donald Trump has said about our veterans

frogbs, Monday, 5 November 2018 21:49 (seven years ago)

why is he always wearing pretend prison jumpsuit shirts. this is the question that keeps me up at night

vote no on ilxit (Will M.), Monday, 5 November 2018 21:50 (seven years ago)

hitman in a porno
i know, i know, it’s really serious

i want donald duck to scream into my dick (bizarro gazzara), Monday, 5 November 2018 21:51 (seven years ago)

oh good I'm not the only person that immediately thought of that lol

Οὖτις, Monday, 5 November 2018 21:52 (seven years ago)

i want donald duck to scream into my dick (bizarro gazzara), Monday, 5 November 2018 21:53 (seven years ago)

i heard the "hitman in a porno" line this morning on the news, then i GIS'd Crenshaw and lol'd

It's a really good line, and cruelly accurate.

grawlix (unperson), Monday, 5 November 2018 22:06 (seven years ago)

it's a funny line delivered by an unfunny cast member. don't get really get Davidson's appeal, but all the pearl-clutching chuds on social media can die in a fucking fire.

constitutional crises they fly at u face (will), Tuesday, 6 November 2018 14:36 (seven years ago)

Just wait for the chuds to find the clip from today's Chapo where they're snickering about the "Fuck the Troops" article

I really loved that House Hunters video.

Yerac, Monday, 12 November 2018 12:45 (seven years ago)

That was the only thing I liked. And the hip hop video about respect and consent. Otherwise a pretty dire episode, and I’m generally pretty forgiving.

dan selzer, Monday, 12 November 2018 14:31 (seven years ago)

Oh yeah I forgot about the hip hop video. That was good too. Agree with the direness of the rest of it.

Yerac, Monday, 12 November 2018 14:38 (seven years ago)

As parents of super-competitive twins, my wife and I were DYING at this one:

DJI, Monday, 12 November 2018 15:54 (seven years ago)

twins and house hunters both made me laugh.

for i, sock in enumerate (Sufjan Grafton), Monday, 12 November 2018 15:59 (seven years ago)

Is breaking character part of the casting process now?

Karl Malone, Monday, 12 November 2018 16:09 (seven years ago)

Crenshaw is a piece of shit. Reading written jokes from a cue card won't change the reasons he was endorsed by, like, the TX Tea Party. Never forget *that*.

Yerac, Monday, 12 November 2018 17:06 (seven years ago)

other favorite thing was Cecily's performance as the white house intern during weekend update. She's so underrated.

dan selzer, Monday, 12 November 2018 18:59 (seven years ago)

This season has been brutally bad

The Poppy Bush AutoZone (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Sunday, 18 November 2018 19:38 (seven years ago)

colin jost is at the center of the rot p much is how i break it down

21st savagery fox (m bison), Sunday, 18 November 2018 19:41 (seven years ago)

It is high time Lorne Michaels fired himself.

A is for (Aimless), Sunday, 18 November 2018 19:42 (seven years ago)

jost said nothing wrong, agree though he and the show are mostly bad

johnny crunch, Sunday, 18 November 2018 20:14 (seven years ago)

jost is maybe the least funny update host since quinn imo

21st savagery fox (m bison), Sunday, 18 November 2018 20:31 (seven years ago)

jost said nothing wrong

not understanding (or pretending not to understand) what ppl find offensive about the HQ2 bidding process is pretty damn thick

wayne trotsky (Simon H.), Sunday, 18 November 2018 21:11 (seven years ago)

the entire show felt really poorly paced. I did like the Bezos commercial though.

@DanCrenshawTX thank you for coming on the show. It was an honor to meet you and your wife. Made a donation to Wounded Warrior in your honor. Never forget.

He's from Staten Island, that's half of the problem.

Why haven't I seen Cecily Strong in a movie yet?

that was good too - disturbing.

flappy bird, Wednesday, 5 December 2018 19:23 (seven years ago)

I watched the above with 2 other people on Sunday and we were all like "THIS IS TERRIBLE."

Yerac, Wednesday, 5 December 2018 21:03 (seven years ago)

the first one is good imo

I have a feeling the second one is the brain child of kyle mooney who I wish would just go away

rip van wanko, Wednesday, 5 December 2018 21:15 (seven years ago)

Yeah, I of course was referring to the Cars clip. Hi five for the Kyle Mooney hate.

Yerac, Wednesday, 5 December 2018 21:16 (seven years ago)

It's a good neighbor thing no doubt, Beck and Kyle have done a bunch of those 80s sitcom things. I like them though it seems a bit easy.

And of course I love Kyle.
