Keepers have always been allowed to take players out in the air with impunity

Both should have been penalties though yeah

Number None, Sunday, 4 November 2018 10:46 (seven years ago)

gonna have to wait for Super Monday for my meagre ration of entertainment, if we actually manage a win against Fulham then it will also be a moral victory for our spendthrift club philosophy cos they have spuzzed away a fortune to be just as shit as us. In dismal relegation seasons you have to dig deep for positives, and they aren't even positive!

calzino, Sunday, 4 November 2018 11:13 (seven years ago)

the last manager who managed a Great Escape is currently managing an old folks home in Brighouse and he was a complete dolt. Great Escapes just don't happen in the prem these days. Was listening to stats on 5 live that said this season all the top 6 have taken more points off the shit sides than Man City did at this point last year.

calzino, Sunday, 4 November 2018 11:21 (seven years ago)

if you were going to penalise keepers from coming out and wiping people out you'd need to announce it first

ogmor, Sunday, 4 November 2018 11:42 (seven years ago)

spurs have won 34 of 37 against newly promoted sides and drawn other three, acc to guardian fw podcast so yeah its three leagues at the moment

lie back and think of englund (darraghmac), Sunday, 4 November 2018 12:12 (seven years ago)

taking out a player after he gets his shot away is the new hen fap

Keepers have always been allowed to take players out in the air with impunity

Those were both fair contests for the ball where the attacker got their header away and then collided with the goalie/the goalie collided with them. Neither was impeded. Play on – both spot on calls by the ref if you ask me.

The linesman having a fucking guess for Liverpool's disallowed goal though is quite annoying.

in twelve parts (lamonti), Monday, 5 November 2018 12:37 (seven years ago)

oh ffs

calzino, Monday, 5 November 2018 20:00 (seven years ago)

Huddersfield are playing quite well. Fulham aren’t showing anything.

Wag1 Shree Rajneesh (ShariVari), Monday, 5 November 2018 20:28 (seven years ago)

Deserved!

Wag1 Shree Rajneesh (ShariVari), Monday, 5 November 2018 20:31 (seven years ago)

after Billing rattled the bar for the nth time this seasohn I thought we were never going to score tonight again!

calzino, Monday, 5 November 2018 20:32 (seven years ago)

for a side who were 2nd biggest spenders to Liverpool this summer they are pretty weak all over the pitch on tonight's evidence.

calzino, Monday, 5 November 2018 20:34 (seven years ago)

that fouling little sessegnon fuck! should be a pen.

calzino, Monday, 5 November 2018 20:46 (seven years ago)

it's just so nice to see us pressing a side for the first time in ages, the old Wagner style is back. Obv helped by the fact that Fulham are mediocre all over the pitch and are defensively mid-table Championship standard. So are we I suppose - but we've got our Rolls Royce Kongolo back again, he ups the class of our defence to almost prem standard!

calzino, Monday, 5 November 2018 21:00 (seven years ago)

that fucking ref has let sessegnon away with murder tonight. I know he's only 12, but he'll never learn like this.

calzino, Monday, 5 November 2018 21:16 (seven years ago)

how satisfying can an og 1-0 win on a mon night be? very tbh!

calzino, Monday, 5 November 2018 21:55 (seven years ago)

watch out prem Southampton + Newcastle, we're back!

calzino, Monday, 5 November 2018 21:57 (seven years ago)

big Phil Billing, not just the tallest outfield player in the prem but statistically one of the best midfielders. And we just deploy him League One style as a long throw merchant, where 3 of our goals have come from. I once nodded at him near Dixons Ice Cream parlour on Leeds Rd and he nodded back so I exaggerate what an amiable young lad he is.

calzino, Tuesday, 6 November 2018 19:37 (seven years ago)

isnt vestergaard about 8 foot high haha?

nxd, Wednesday, 7 November 2018 09:33 (seven years ago)

yeah but phil's impressive barnet pushes him up to 6 foot 8.

Never mind his ankle, he looks 8 months pregnant in that pic.

Bimlo Horsewagon became Wheelbarrow Horseflesh (aldo), Thursday, 8 November 2018 14:33 (seven years ago)

"that you in there Mitrovic?"

calzino, Thursday, 8 November 2018 14:42 (seven years ago)

It's a particularly unflattering kit.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/nov/09/premier-league-top-five-bottom-five-great-divide

The notable shift this season has taken place lower down, where a group of clubs are in danger of being cut adrift even before the leaves have finished falling from the trees, with their plight so desperate that league victories in November are celebrated like winning cup finals in May. They are playing survival football with 27 matches remaining.

lol! that us. If its going to be 22 points to stay up this season then perhaps they were right to celebrate that win like a cup final. Whatever happens this season, after the meagre scraps of entertainment in recent times (first home win since April and lots of games where we look like the Belgium putting out a red carpet for the Wehrmacht) then relegation might not be the worst outcome tbh.

calzino, Saturday, 10 November 2018 10:28 (seven years ago)

Lowest ever safety total was 34 by West Brom. Wouldn't be surprised to see that beaten this season.

groovypanda, Saturday, 10 November 2018 11:17 (seven years ago)

Ought to provide useful perspective for our moaning cunt section but of course it doesn't

Tsugumo Alanshearer (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 10 November 2018 11:20 (seven years ago)

our Belgium carthorse Depoitre has looked a shadow of the player of last season since he had a hair transplant. And thoroughbred baldie Mooy was looking back to his best the other night. There might be a lesson in there! I can't work out how Fulham can spend a 100 mill and still have a useless, unfit donkey like Mitrovic upfront and such a terrible defense - it might take them another hundred mill if they want to stay up.

calzino, Saturday, 10 November 2018 11:29 (seven years ago)

You be several points better off with a useless unfit donkey like that, he's got five goals for them this season. Which is one more than Lukaku and as many as Salah, Morata, Martial and Huddersfield.

Matt DC, Saturday, 10 November 2018 11:37 (seven years ago)

true, but on Monday night's showing he won't get many more this season.

calzino, Saturday, 10 November 2018 11:41 (seven years ago)

I'd even put money on him not getting into double figures on monday's showing. Perhaps Fulham started with that newly promoted momentum thing, but the magic is gone now!

calzino, Saturday, 10 November 2018 11:45 (seven years ago)

They do look in disarray. It's alright trying to play total football but I think a coherent defence is supposed to be part of the total

Tsugumo Alanshearer (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 10 November 2018 11:52 (seven years ago)

if Jokanovic was responsible that last minute of the transfer deadline 20m swoop for Anguissa then he should be gone already, especially as their defence obv needed strengthening. Sometimes I think our tightfisted chairman's try before you buy policy might be boring, but vindicated when we got Kongolo for the same price after a loan period.

calzino, Saturday, 10 November 2018 12:09 (seven years ago)

jesus, it was 30m they spent on Anguissa, fucking insanity!

calzino, Saturday, 10 November 2018 13:17 (seven years ago)

now Arnautovic is a striker with 5 league goals this season who really makes our defence shit their pants.

calzino, Saturday, 10 November 2018 14:55 (seven years ago)

*blasts out 2 unlimited I Like to Move it at full volume*

calzino, Saturday, 10 November 2018 14:59 (seven years ago)

wow it should be 3-1 to Town already, we on fire!

calzino, Saturday, 10 November 2018 15:17 (seven years ago)

ffs we were playing some lovely football before my stream died.

calzino, Saturday, 10 November 2018 15:38 (seven years ago)

I don't want to live in a world where Cardiff have 2 wins under their belt

Tsugumo Alanshearer (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 10 November 2018 15:40 (seven years ago)

Ex Leeds scum with the winner as well:(

calzino, Saturday, 10 November 2018 15:50 (seven years ago)

2pts dropped there, but bravura performance all the same.

calzino, Saturday, 10 November 2018 17:01 (seven years ago)

Lol no zaha

All right! A new season! (Bananaman Begins), Saturday, 10 November 2018 17:07 (seven years ago)

surely that isn't allowed?

calzino, Saturday, 10 November 2018 17:11 (seven years ago)

Poor Charlie Austin's tiny brain has broken

Tsugumo Alanshearer (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 10 November 2018 17:12 (seven years ago)

this foyth kid is abominable, as are spurs

imago, Saturday, 10 November 2018 17:49 (seven years ago)

foyth is talented but this tactic asks our defenders to play all of our football and its been an issue all season

unproven (darraghmac), Saturday, 10 November 2018 17:51 (seven years ago)

what a player this sissoko lad is tho
