Yes, but also the reactions from Michael and Tahani as it happened. This was a very good episode. First part of the season was the first stretch where it seemed as if they didn't know what to do, but the last two episodes has been back up to standards.

That’s the joke with Ted Danson and his character’s unconsciously terrible attempt at an Australian accent. Except that it’s a joke which would be funnier if it didn’t sound to Australian ears kind of like Simone.

I wondered that too. Not the case with Tahani's parents.

My spouse has taken to calling me Donkey Doug. Which I kind of weirdly understand.

fwiw I went to high school with and am facebook friends with the guy who plays Donkey Doug so I can confirm that he is only 3 years older than Manny Jacinto.

The actress who plays Eleanor's mom first played the role in the flashbacks to Eleanor's childhood. So that's why she's so young. I think.

I (first) got a call from my agent, “You got an offer to play Kristen Bell’s mother.” I was like, “Well, here it is. Here’s that phone call where you are officially an older actress.” Then she said, “No, no, wait. It’s to play the mother of her character in flashback.” Initially, it started off as playing the mother of a little girl. I thought, “Okay, that makes more sense,” because Kristen Bell and I are not that far apart in age. Look, don’t get it twisted. I know I’m older than her, but I’m not old enough to be her mother.

Then when they said, “We’d like you to come back and work with Kristen,” there was a conversation, “Well, how is that going to work?” Like, “What are you going to look like?” They were like, “We don’t want to do aging makeup on you. That’s not something we want to do.” They came up with a brilliant idea to just Real Housewives her and to make her look really pulled and surgeried. We put in extensions. We gave me a really insane tan. Pulled my face up with tape. Wore really crazy makeup, really intense, Real Housewives-ish makeup.

Via the podcast today, I learned the fight sequence was coordinated by the same guy who did all the work for the Bourne films (including the building jumping one in Morocco).
