Guy Gardner haircut calls for Collin Ferrell imo

Οὖτις, Thursday, 11 October 2018 15:13 (seven years ago)

Anyone who can faithfully replicate Maguire smugface at its most obnoxious has my vote.

Extra Shprankles (Old Lunch), Thursday, 11 October 2018 15:37 (seven years ago)

Thank u for permanently ruining Maguire smugface 4 me.

Extra Shprankles (Old Lunch), Thursday, 11 October 2018 16:44 (seven years ago)

He was already a prison guard in Suicide Squad, but Ike Barinholtz for Guy Gardner.

Nhex, Friday, 13 September 2019 23:05 (six years ago)

Hoping David Dastmalchian is playing the same loveable psychopath from The Dark Knight.

Andrew Farrell, Friday, 13 September 2019 23:08 (six years ago)

all that AND Capaldi

😃😃😃

Squeaky Fromage (VegemiteGrrl), Saturday, 14 September 2019 01:59 (six years ago)

if Taika is playing Boomer then Gunn's gunna be cancelled again

He's probably getting typecast as Hitler.

Andrew Farrell, Saturday, 14 September 2019 10:31 (six years ago)

I like that there's four Marvel actors there (though if you were minded to appear in this, you would have had to work hard to avoid the MCU over the last decade)

Andrew Farrell, Saturday, 14 September 2019 10:35 (six years ago)

All I can think of seeing that cast is having to sit through 24 fucking flashback sequences set to Rolling Stones songs.

Frederik B, Saturday, 14 September 2019 15:09 (six years ago)

No, that's The Irishman.

a bevy of supermodels, musicians and Lena Dunham (C. Grisso/McCain), Saturday, 14 September 2019 15:26 (six years ago)

i am kind of surprised that they're taking another shot at this considering what a disaster the first movie was. i am guessing they had margot robbie contractually obligated to do a sequel, kind of like how Elektra happened.

wasdnuos (abanana), Saturday, 14 September 2019 17:12 (six years ago)

the first one made three quarters of a billion dollars on a reported budget of $175m, so even factoring in marketing etc it probably still turned enough of a profit to make a sequel make sense

also i guess the studio is betting a lot on getting that authentic james gunn magic this time around after very much failing to emulate it in the first one

Are we sure Taika Waititi isn't just reprising his role as Tom Kalmaku?

The idea that jai courtney would be a selling point to anyone is boggling my mind

he’s a very special performer

Jai Courtney is impressive in that he is the least memorable person in the universe. I've seen several movies where I know he had a decent part and I remember the character existing but I'll be damned if I could tell you what he or the characters he played looked like. It takes special skill to be more anonymous than Sam Worthington, IMO.

brigadier pudding (DJP), Sunday, 15 September 2019 23:28 (six years ago)

which is fitting enough that they starred in back to back Terminator movies in leading roles

When I am afraid, I put my toast in you (Neanderthal), Sunday, 15 September 2019 23:33 (six years ago)

This whole time I've been thinking of Michael Jai White. this guy is... not as good.

the public eating of beans (Sparkle Motion), Sunday, 15 September 2019 23:33 (six years ago)

The funny thing is that when I first saw his name, I was like "why are they adding him, he brings nothing to the table" and then I realized he was already in the first one

brigadier pudding (DJP), Sunday, 15 September 2019 23:37 (six years ago)

Jai Courtney's Kyle Reece is kinda like if you did a reboot of Die Hard with Mike "The Miz" Mizanin as John McClane

When I am afraid, I put my toast in you (Neanderthal), Sunday, 15 September 2019 23:40 (six years ago)

Michael Jai White rules

When I am afraid, I put my toast in you (Neanderthal), Sunday, 15 September 2019 23:41 (six years ago)

when thinking of jai courtney roles my first thought was "wasn't he that guy in terminator salvation?" then i found out he was in genisys and i went whaaaaaa

wasdnuos (abanana), Sunday, 15 September 2019 23:54 (six years ago)

it's fair, they're p much the same person

When I am afraid, I put my toast in you (Neanderthal), Monday, 16 September 2019 00:04 (six years ago)

the only thing I liked Jai Courtney in was his guest spot in Wet Hot American Summer

there haven't really been good superhero cartoons since the Batman ones from the 90's/2000's. A bit surprised at the cursing in this one. where is this running? on a channel absolutely no one watches?

"i am guessing they had margot robbie contractually obligated to do a sequel, kind of like how Elektra happened."

maybe; I think she was the only well received part of the first movie (so I gather, I didn't watch it) and they're also giving her her own movie (Birds of Prey).

if Teen Titans Go! is half as good as the movie, you are incorrect

oh right, that is good.

Hey DC, you don't have to try so hard to repel me with your increasingly-regressive, masturbatory output. You've already had overwhelming success in that arena. Take the win!

Birds of Prey was fun if not exactly high art. kinda loses steam at the end but at least it isn't garbage Suicide Squad level drab.

zero Joker appearance too is nice.

At some point Harley Quinn -- a character I never heard of til I saw the trailer a week ago -- says "I voted for Bernie."
