just watched that goal about six times. it's less a case of 'goal of the season?', more 'this goal or the Wilshere/Giroud one against Norwich?'

Two Southampton defenders just allowed Hazard to stand for ages in the enormous gap between them until he could receive the ball and run straight on goal. Very obliging of them I must say.

Matt DC, Sunday, 7 October 2018 13:52 (seven years ago)

I'm shocked they've only given up one at this point.

WmC, Sunday, 7 October 2018 13:58 (seven years ago)

some of our players seemed to be admiring Hazard rather than trying to stop him, he has that effect on some people I think!

calzino, Sunday, 7 October 2018 14:01 (seven years ago)

Not only had I forgotten Ross Barkley plays for Chelsea I'd forgotten Ross Barkley.

Zach Same (Tom D.), Sunday, 7 October 2018 14:58 (seven years ago)

fuck me, here comes The Big One!

calzino, Sunday, 7 October 2018 15:25 (seven years ago)

bloody massive!

calzino, Sunday, 7 October 2018 15:26 (seven years ago)

This is already a humdinger, Liverpool really have their tails up.

Matt DC, Sunday, 7 October 2018 15:38 (seven years ago)

Two awful teams tbh

Number None, Sunday, 7 October 2018 16:06 (seven years ago)

So much sloppy passing in this game

. (Michael B), Sunday, 7 October 2018 16:13 (seven years ago)

penlolty

Leon Carrotsky (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 7 October 2018 17:13 (seven years ago)

when you've got 2nd sewn up, you've got it sewn up

Leon Carrotsky (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 7 October 2018 17:14 (seven years ago)

that penalty record ffs!

Number None, Sunday, 7 October 2018 17:17 (seven years ago)

The look on Jesus's face when Mahrez nicked that off him was rivalled only by the transparently incredulous shit stirring by Aguero on the bench.

Matt DC, Sunday, 7 October 2018 17:18 (seven years ago)

Top end of the table is fantastic right now.

Matt DC, Sunday, 7 October 2018 17:23 (seven years ago)

already a great season tbh

Dmac TT (darraghmac), Sunday, 7 October 2018 17:31 (seven years ago)

meh

Leon Carrotsky (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 7 October 2018 18:47 (seven years ago)

Seems bizarre given how average Spurs have been that they're only a win against Watford from being top right now

groovypanda, Sunday, 7 October 2018 19:49 (seven years ago)

weve been worse than average but squeezed out results except when we havent

Dmac TT (darraghmac), Sunday, 7 October 2018 19:54 (seven years ago)

RIP John Terry. He never lived to see Brexit.

Matt DC, Sunday, 7 October 2018 20:07 (seven years ago)

23 year playing career ok fuck it im officially admitting im old

Dmac TT (darraghmac), Sunday, 7 October 2018 20:21 (seven years ago)

A Kick It Out spokesperson said: "We can confirm we've received a report about a West Ham coach claiming to have attended the DFLA rally. We have passed it on to the club and are liaising with them about the issue."

calzino, Wednesday, 17 October 2018 15:35 (seven years ago)

can't believe a West Ham coach ah never mind

the Warnock of Clodhop Mountain (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 17 October 2018 15:48 (seven years ago)

pls be pellegrino pls be pellegrino

Dmac TT (darraghmac), Wednesday, 17 October 2018 15:48 (seven years ago)

it's not

lbi's life of limitless european glamour (Le Bateau Ivre), Wednesday, 17 October 2018 15:48 (seven years ago)

I'm starting to get the feeling Graeme Souness might not be a fan of Paul Pogba

Number None, Saturday, 20 October 2018 11:24 (seven years ago)

it's genuinely tragic watching Matic out there these days

Number None, Saturday, 20 October 2018 11:46 (seven years ago)

it's a matter of who gets sent off at this point

Number None, Saturday, 20 October 2018 11:58 (seven years ago)

think we've had one 'attempt' (shite Lukaku header, obviously not on target)

someone destroy this husk of a football club

Number None, Saturday, 20 October 2018 12:12 (seven years ago)

I refuse to make an effort to watch United unless they're playing Spurs these days. Literally every EPL team who aren't Cardiff are more entertaining.

Matt DC, Saturday, 20 October 2018 12:31 (seven years ago)

Harsh on Cardiff

Number None, Saturday, 20 October 2018 12:41 (seven years ago)

Mourinho in, etc

Number None, Saturday, 20 October 2018 13:02 (seven years ago)

He's definitely been involved in some kind of human sacrifice ritual recently.

calzino, Saturday, 20 October 2018 13:03 (seven years ago)

As opposed to destroying players rituals!

calzino, Saturday, 20 October 2018 13:04 (seven years ago)

amazing

Dmac TT (darraghmac), Saturday, 20 October 2018 13:27 (seven years ago)

One of the Chelsea staff just ran down the touchline and shouted in Mourinho's face, now he's kicking off in the tunnel. Best league in the world.

Matt DC, Saturday, 20 October 2018 13:28 (seven years ago)

think he smacked mou on the thigh on the way over and the pounce qas on the way back

Dmac TT (darraghmac), Saturday, 20 October 2018 13:29 (seven years ago)

don't know what to make of that really

we should start every game a goal down though

Number None, Saturday, 20 October 2018 13:30 (seven years ago)

Erik Lamela is very quietly having an excellent season.

Matt DC, Saturday, 20 October 2018 15:06 (seven years ago)

Cardiff have doubled their goal tally for the season.

Wag1 Shree Rajneesh (ShariVari), Saturday, 20 October 2018 15:49 (seven years ago)

Considering we usually draw our first nine games of the season it's quite remarkable we haven't had a single one so far.

Matt DC, Saturday, 20 October 2018 15:55 (seven years ago)

I had a dream last night I was watching Town getting embarrassed by some abstract opposition that wasn't Liverpool. The pitch was a sloping school playground with grass growing through the cracks, and some points was turning into a multi-storey car park and the ball was falling down to lower levels. A sign we are about to get fucking rinsed imo!

calzino, Saturday, 20 October 2018 15:59 (seven years ago)

Today's results the ideal accompaniment to the toothache I've had all weekend

the Warnock of Clodhop Mountain (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 20 October 2018 16:00 (seven years ago)

do we not care about arsenal supergoals any more

imago, Monday, 22 October 2018 22:16 (seven years ago)

briefly noted on the amazing goal thread

Number None, Monday, 22 October 2018 22:18 (seven years ago)

ok...but it might be only their second-best goal of the season so far

imago, Monday, 22 October 2018 22:21 (seven years ago)

ah no not really

lie back and think of englund (darraghmac), Monday, 22 October 2018 22:49 (seven years ago)

you've got this one ahead of the fulham one

imago, Monday, 22 October 2018 23:31 (seven years ago)

+ this one might have been more liquid
+ it seemed to involve more or less every player
+ they walked it in
- the other one had flicks over fulham players like twice
- the other one had a headed pass
- the other one ended with a backheel finish off the far post

in summary: idk
