I think CAAL was just naming Rowson as stylistically similar to that godawful thing that shouldn't have really been linked. But yeah, I'm not a fan of Rowson's drawing style or colour sense, but he seems quite wonderful in this company!

That image isn't supposed to appeal to logic or rationality. It just takes certain symbols that its audience reacts strongly to and places them into a suggestive juxtaposition, in order to induce an emotional state. Treating it as a formal argument is all backwards.
