ilxors who almost make u wanna go homo

When I was banned from ILX I wrote a long document to my computer that was a thorough summary of what happened and what things were supposed to mean when I posted them and individual replies to posts while highlighting all the 2-sided mistakes and misunderstandings along the way. I had a lot of butthurt jabs at several people that only made sense in the grand scheme of things that could only be clarified by reading my long detailed letter.

Nearly 3 years later I rejoined ILX. I deleted that document in the past year. I knew it would be too cringey to read before I deleted it.

Nowadays I keep my ILX personality relatively vanilla and that makes me happy. Whenever drama happens on here I do my best to butt out.

What saved me in the end was my ability to fogetaboutit. I don’t even know who had I had beef with or what even happened. Also my ILX insecurities have waned a bit since I’ve heavy filtered my impulses. I’ve always picture my ILX personality as a narcissistic Nobody but I feel like I’m less narcissistic now. The only times I feel like I wasn’t a nobody was when I chatted with ILXors in DJ chat rooms where we tooks turns queueing up music, when I played online MtG against a couple people here, when someone traveling the country expressed willingness to meet me, and lastly a brief couple of times I had email exchanges. Which is to say that I, without interaction with people outside these threads or without positive feedback, still feel that I’m perceived as a Nobody. But at least I feel like I’m a Nobody that people don’t hate anymore. I don’t hate anyone here and I do picture Katherine as someone that is very sensitive (without even knowing the current beef) but that doesn’t have to be a bad thing. The moral is that forgetting makes things better and also maybe a lot of other people are nobodys too because I don’t really know any of them. Talking to ILXors outside of these threads really helps on that front even if I haven’t done it in forever.

Oh, and while airing out my dirty laundry I should mention that at one point I somewhat idolized a few ILXors for their popularity or because they are/were cool. I knew I could never live up to that image because I have no connections and I assume thay had many. Since I’m antisocial in real life and I hardly ever get jelly it must mean that I really hold other posters (and ILX in general) in high regard for me to have felt that way; ILXors are not Nobodys ipso facto they are ILXors.

I posted only one time using my real name and I just now did a search for posts by my last name and learned that my brother was briefly an ILXor who also posted only one time using his real name. I wonder if he remembers that happening. Small world. Smaaaaall world.
