faculty w1fe (silby), Wednesday, 5 September 2018 16:32 (seven years ago)

sounds real nice, i ate a banana with mine which is not as ideal of a pairing lol

sprout god (lag∞n), Wednesday, 5 September 2018 16:36 (seven years ago)

Trying to remember which uk high st coffee outlet it is that has a long-running “coffee + a banana” offer

coetzee.cx (wins), Wednesday, 5 September 2018 16:40 (seven years ago)

Like, specifically that pairing, no other option is included in the deal

coetzee.cx (wins), Wednesday, 5 September 2018 16:41 (seven years ago)

i don't know but a banana after a coffee is good for me in terms of coffee can make me jittery and stuff and it seems to help with that

also coffee dehydrates me and banana has potassium and shit i guess

( ͡☉ ͜ʖ ͡☉) (jim in vancouver), Wednesday, 5 September 2018 16:50 (seven years ago)

Yeah also rich in magnesium, too much coffee makes my eye twitch due to Mg deficiency

coetzee.cx (wins), Wednesday, 5 September 2018 17:01 (seven years ago)

Rabbit Control (Latham Green), Wednesday, 5 September 2018 19:12 (seven years ago)

Mario Meatwagon (Moodles), Wednesday, 5 September 2018 19:14 (seven years ago)

Rabbit Control (Latham Green), Wednesday, 5 September 2018 19:21 (seven years ago)

whoa, the eye twitching is due to a lack of magnesium? I did not know that, but I regularly suffer from twitching eye after my 3rd or 9th cup of coffee. Now i'll just pair each cup with a banana. Should work out just fine.

brotherlovesdub, Wednesday, 5 September 2018 19:45 (seven years ago)

yes please leave room for dairy but actually it isn't dairy *pours in milk of magnesia*

challops trap house (Will M.), Wednesday, 5 September 2018 19:48 (seven years ago)

(which reminds me, is it just here or did all of a sudden every coffee place start asking if i want them to "leave room for dairy", like, you can say milk, i won't correct you and be like CREAM, ACTUALLY)

(you know what, i bet someone does that, now i get it)

challops trap house (Will M.), Wednesday, 5 September 2018 19:49 (seven years ago)

+ all the non dairy dairy (oat milk is so hot right now)

faculty w1fe (silby), Wednesday, 5 September 2018 20:09 (seven years ago)

oat milk is not bad and easy to make at home

( ͡☉ ͜ʖ ͡☉) (jim in vancouver), Wednesday, 5 September 2018 20:10 (seven years ago)

also pretty cheap as oates are pretty cheap

( ͡☉ ͜ʖ ͡☉) (jim in vancouver), Wednesday, 5 September 2018 20:11 (seven years ago)

Oat milk reminds me too much of "sowing your wild oats" thusly the creme cup I do not want - I shall remain of the US Milkers brigade when contaminating my bean brew

My brother has a Vitamix and makes his own almond milk and then dries out the ground almonds and uses them in baking--it's the perfect cycle except for how much water it takes to grow the almonds in the first place. o__O

There's more Italy than necessary. (in orbit), Thursday, 6 September 2018 15:23 (seven years ago)

Almonds are good for your liver, as is coffee

coetzee.cx (wins), Thursday, 6 September 2018 17:21 (seven years ago)

flappy bird, Thursday, 6 September 2018 17:26 (seven years ago)

Thats my nephew guys <3

F# A# (∞), Thursday, 6 September 2018 18:48 (seven years ago)

water footprint for almonds was probably hyped by the cattle industry or some other nefarious types. a serving of almonds uses about as much water as beef to produce but without the carbon footprint.

Almonds are terrible for your liver. Do not place them there.

Almonds in general are kind of a dissapointment. Small brown vocals of - what? Joy? Nutrition/ I dont care. I'm sorry Almond, you have to leave.

Meanwhile, give me a boston creme donut and coffee and I will tell yo naughty things

Rabbit Control (Latham Green), Friday, 7 September 2018 18:02 (seven years ago)

lee guacamole (darraghmac), Saturday, 8 September 2018 12:31 (seven years ago)

Almonds are pretty good wrt the liver. Just one human RCT, though.

Abazarfard, 2016. [A randomized controlled trial of the effects of an almond-enriched, hypocaloric diet on liver function tests in overweight/obese women](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4879762/). Iran Red Cres Med J, 18(3).
