1987 man city 10 - 1 Hudds

consolation goal scored be ex City player, manager SuperMac said 3 of them were offside - although he was pissed most of the time in them days!

calzino, Sunday, 19 August 2018 11:44 (seven years ago)

Noodle Vague, Sunday, 19 August 2018 11:46 (seven years ago)

will probably be surprisingly solid, but ugly af and easily beaten bt two goals, is my bold prediction!

calzino, Sunday, 19 August 2018 11:52 (seven years ago)

Looking like it might be a few more than two

imago, Sunday, 19 August 2018 12:35 (seven years ago)

dunno, a Human Centipede/A Serbian Tale twofer today seems more entertaining than the prospect of 90 mins of this!

calzino, Sunday, 19 August 2018 12:45 (seven years ago)

Hamer with his best imago impression there

imago, Sunday, 19 August 2018 12:55 (seven years ago)

I guess that's the Ederson Cannon claiming its first victim of the season

imago, Sunday, 19 August 2018 12:56 (seven years ago)

Hamer with his best imago impression there (x3)

imago, Sunday, 19 August 2018 13:06 (seven years ago)

Lossl would have saved two of them ffs, but we do need to make this 10 - 1 happen again, so good work Hamer!

calzino, Sunday, 19 August 2018 13:28 (seven years ago)

Just 6 to go now

groovypanda, Sunday, 19 August 2018 13:37 (seven years ago)

Project 10 - 1 update: Depoitre (with his new hair transplant) on for Sabiri who didn't even get a touch in the 1st half. Need some sense of urgency if we are going to concede 6 more in the next 40!

calzino, Sunday, 19 August 2018 13:39 (seven years ago)

bit late now setting these high targets when ye had all summer to sign chris smalling

flaneur brayin (darraghmac), Sunday, 19 August 2018 16:10 (seven years ago)

not a nicer player in the league than young to have his ankle studded imo

flaneur brayin (darraghmac), Sunday, 19 August 2018 16:11 (seven years ago)

very good work Brighton, but with the caveat that they might find the going tougher against one of the big clubs!

calzino, Sunday, 19 August 2018 16:17 (seven years ago)

obv could do without utd stealing poch before christmas but

flaneur brayin (darraghmac), Sunday, 19 August 2018 16:18 (seven years ago)

flaneur brayin (darraghmac), Sunday, 19 August 2018 16:53 (seven years ago)

I don't think it counts if you're trying to take out your own player

Number None, Sunday, 19 August 2018 16:56 (seven years ago)

All bantz aside though, I think that might actually have been the worst performance of the post-Fergie era

and there's a lot of competition obv

classic goal! Rob Edwards - who finished off that wonderful spell of passing is a humble wood butcher from Holmfirth these days!

calzino, Sunday, 19 August 2018 17:08 (seven years ago)

Honley ... i should have said.

calzino, Sunday, 19 August 2018 17:10 (seven years ago)

Huddersfield to be this years Palace imo, at least being this bad very early on gives you time to turn it round

Neuer write off the germans (Bananaman Begins), Monday, 20 August 2018 08:50 (seven years ago)

tbf they have scored a goal before October.

Wag1 Shree Rajneesh (ShariVari), Monday, 20 August 2018 08:53 (seven years ago)

Bad move that, yeah

Neuer write off the germans (Bananaman Begins), Monday, 20 August 2018 08:58 (seven years ago)

If we don't beat Cardiff next week (just about the same side did the double on us inc a 3-0 dicking at home in our promotion season), there are some pretty harsh fixtures to see us through to October. I think we'll be rooted to the bottom of the table for some time yet. Character building stuff for these extra 12000 fans we've acquired in recent history!

calzino, Monday, 20 August 2018 09:13 (seven years ago)

tbf you get an extra {(sum of all football fans) - (sum of Cardiff fans)} fans when you play Cardiff

Noodle Vague, Monday, 20 August 2018 09:39 (seven years ago)

of course you get Colin's hordes of autograph hunters, in their dozens as well!

calzino, Monday, 20 August 2018 09:48 (seven years ago)

After Cardiff play you though, their next 7 league games are Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, Burnley, Spurs, Fulham & Liverpool

groovypanda, Monday, 20 August 2018 10:33 (seven years ago)

Oh I definitely think as the season takes shape, Cardiff will be rock bottom. We might be a bit vulnerable this time, without the cushion of a good start - even though he has made some shit tactical decisions so far and sometimes his extreme pragmatism is infuriating - I have faith in Wagner to not let the decline become terminal. I think we've just been beaten by the Champions and runners up so far, when you are 2-0 down against Chelsea and Hazard comes on, you might as well abandon all hope, and Man City's 2nd string would finish top 4.

calzino, Monday, 20 August 2018 11:01 (seven years ago)

man, that's a tough one to take for Palace

decisions were all correct by the letter of the law but they definitely deserved something out of the game. If they got rid of Benteke they could be a real force

Liverpool no great shakes but fairly terrifying on the counter as always

Number None, Monday, 20 August 2018 20:52 (seven years ago)

Thread title is so spot on it's relegated my experience of watching LFC to getting a flat beer.

lbi's life of limitless european glamour (Le Bateau Ivre), Monday, 20 August 2018 21:19 (seven years ago)

Boo hoo

FernandoHierro, Monday, 20 August 2018 21:20 (seven years ago)

Palace looked very good but I thought we deserved the points. Game management was a nice improvement on yr typical lpool

i know kore-eda (or something), Monday, 20 August 2018 21:53 (seven years ago)

Great result, Palace are always a team we slip up against. Keita looks class, there was a little turn he did from deep in defence followed by a long ball to Salah that was incredible. Salah looks a bit off the pace, he could have scored a couple of goals yet he was still involved in the two goals we got. I'm not so sure about the sending off, think Wan-Bissaka (who looked excellent) was hard done by alright. Mané is back to his best form, he took his goal well
