Why do people leave ILX for good?

look guys

not being able to figure out a fairly basic trail of conversation aint a problem, as such

assuming as a default that this must be an attack on you personally is frankly a bit of a problem

it's almost as if ilx has a longstanding and insular culture and posting style that is often not immediately intelligible and takes time and practice to understand.

When darraghmac posts past 3 sentences and I can't understand it, I assume he's wasted or it's performance art. But I try not to feel irritated by it.

a substantial percentage of what has been said to or about me in the past 24 hours has been either an attack or in reference to one, so it isn’t an outlandish assumption

oh the one above it about how there are 4 posters or so (that I can't tell apart) that seem to be writing on spec for a juvenile british humor sitcom. And most of the posts are nonsensical. Like, I kind of get writing extra colloquially or absurdly but at a certain point no one is taking the time to read it.

ilxors (self included) in general are rly good if their egos allow them not to need to understand everything, or not to presume what they dont understand is negative, and even if ut was it probly wasnt for them.

I have not read through this revive tbh but I’d just like to say that I am truly sorry for seeming to have caused all of this. my intent was really not to diss katherine, whom I respect, but rather to focus the 1975 thread on what I felt was a more productive direction. the thread has been notably trolled by turrican for years and I perhaps carelessly (and certainly imprecisely) lumped katherine in with him based on a review of hers that was posted to the thread (by another poster!) that tbh I felt was weakly reasoned and not worth engaging. I think the dogpile that ensued was pretty gross and again I am sorry for seeming to have caused it
