this is completely bizarre to me, like going to the doctor and being told "you sprained your wrist but we're not going to do anything about it, come back when you have heart failure or something"

mods used to be way more obvious, but a) ILX is less rambunctious now and b) it was realised about ten years ago that modding quietly caused fewer shitstorms re: modding

out-and-out trolls do get removed by mod action

a bunch of FPs on one post will also raise mod attention & discussion, it's not a fully automated SB system

if ppl want a post edited or deleted, MRF is still there and used regularly, and has been for about 16 years

as deems keeps saying, this has been litigated in literally thousands of posts over the last decade
