Not a fan of the rainbow road by the Murugan statue, I’m afraid. We visited a couple years ago, during my honeymoon, and at the top of the stairs are the Batu Caves. The monkeys were incredibly mischievous, it was wonderful. The rainbow road is in keeping with the entire place though, I guess. It has the feeling of a once awe inspiring place that has been taken over by tackiness

xpost Tackiness is pretty much what us Malaysians do best lol. Batu Caves is a bit of a tourist trap most of the year, except during the big Hindu festivals when no one is trying to charge you to pet a snake.

The sword was originally made of stainless steel, trimmed with titanium sheets.
