Why do people leave ILX for good?

the punchline is that they've run out of new jokes to tell because they're stuck in prison. so they've memorized and numbered all of the jokes. so someone just says a number and everyone remembers the joke and laughs.

On a slight digression, having been browsing quite a lot of old threads recently, I think 2001 - 2004 was peak ilxor. It was friendly, intelligent, sociable, interesting, sociable, fast-moving and people had more interesting and cute problems (eg crap jobs, flat sharing/room mates, travel on a budget). And there was a greater insight into peoples' off-board lives which i miss.

the argument that the snipers were committing murder by refysing the moral imperative to not shoot, thus making the protestors actions not suicide, for example, resonated with me
