I heard a great prediction of Trumps post-Trump from one of the Crooked Media guys, centered on Ivanka but applicable to all. Before all this Ivanka was useless but tolerated, like a lot of rich people. Rich now she is useful, but toxic. Post Trump, she and others will be useless *and* toxic, which will be new territory for these assholes.

Obviously if this photo is not representing what it was supposed to be because the mother & child weren't actually separated after their arrest the whole protest against the current process must be invalid innit?
Shame the photographer isn't omniscient & not sure how he could have factchecked taht beforehand. BUt god hate to think that taking a stand not to separate mothers and young children has been shown to be a lie by this.

i've heard the idea of a new military space branch floated for a while now, outside of trump. everybody makes fun of space force, but it kind of seems obvious to me that militaries from across the world will be in space, sooner or later. i think it's a bad idea and i wish it wouldn't happen, but it's probably going to happen. if the bottom of the ocean was more accessible we'd have ocean floor force too

I think it betrays an unconscious awareness of what actually will need to happen (i.e. white people losing a lot of their status and power and capital and stuff) if brown people are ever to be truly treated equitably in this country.

If we're preemptively locking up all undocumented immigrants to prevent those with criminal intent from indulging their baser impulses, doesn't it make sense to go ahead and lock up the entire population of the country lest we fall victim to the bad guys in our midst?
