Also: cancer research is by far the most well-funded and socially/governmentally approved cause there is. Including and especially breast cancer. Cancer-related advocacy is all well and good, but advocates should not pretend it's a neglected stepchild.

Performative wackiness is super conventional. Whenever someone uses a bumpersticker or refrigerator magnet or social media meme to say "look at me, I'm so DIFFERENT and WEIRD," I suspect they are way more boring than people who think they're boring.
