I think that's such a key frame. When Williams allowed John in the prev times there were awkward positions or not quite right splits. That chance was really, really good.

I feel sore having missed pretty much of this tournament - Ronnie knocked out didn't help - but this final night was quite alright. 18-16 ain't half bad. I just had no-one to root for.

Yes fuck you for pressuring me but fuck yes, Williams over Higgins. By a negligible margin tho. Higgins is grim death. But: they're both utter shite. Williams and his three chins and saggy skin draped around his dead bones has been a pest all his career. And an irritant, snooker-wise, all his career. He's dullness distilled and cut into even more dullness, the way you try and cut cocaine with your bank card like you've seen in a Tarantino movie but it doesn't work like that and it's a crying mess and you blow your nose and blow the coke away and you end up with nowt. That's fucking Mark Wiliams. He's a pain. A nuisance. Yet Higgins otoh is way more of pain: he's done, he should be done, he should be dead tbf, but he's not.

How am I expected to root for any one of these people?
