I think Disarm is one of my favourite Smashing Pumpkins songs, but I don't like the Smashing Pumpkins, so my opinion isn't important and I'll just leave the thread now, bye.

mfktz (Camaraderie at Arms Length), Friday, 6 April 2018 11:18 (eight years ago)

aw you shoulda posted that in the thread

flappy bird, Friday, 6 April 2018 16:42 (eight years ago)

yeah, it needed some love from ya. it is the easiest track to make fun of (outside of bullet with butterfly wings), but it slays. apt display name, though.

Tapes 'n Tapes of Osho (Sufjan Grafton), Friday, 6 April 2018 16:46 (eight years ago)

it's not a bad song, i just hate that fucking doorbell

flappy bird, Friday, 6 April 2018 16:46 (eight years ago)

I live near a mission, and I'm always complaining about the sounds of majestic bells, saying shit like "HEY, is someone at the door?" to passersby on the street.

hanging fire until we get to Great albums with terrible fifth songs

vermicious kid (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 10 April 2018 09:53 (eight years ago)

or third, or eighth

vermicious kid (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 10 April 2018 09:55 (eight years ago)

Great albums where all the songs are terrible.

Buff Jeckley (Tom D.), Tuesday, 10 April 2018 09:56 (eight years ago)

albums with some songs on that you personally don't like but you like the rest of the album on principle because it's by a band

vermicious kid (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 10 April 2018 09:56 (eight years ago)

albums that you saw while you were in the pub and one of the tracks offered to buy you a drink but it looked a bit dodgy so you turned it down but then you were paranoid all night that it was going to spike your drink also it was a Smanging Pushkins album

vermicious kid (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 10 April 2018 09:58 (eight years ago)

great albums where the time in seconds of the fourth track is exactly equal to the square root of one of the sides of the Great Pyramid of Cheops

vermicious kid (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 10 April 2018 10:00 (eight years ago)

when a man makes an album and can't keep its mind on nothin' else, they'd trade the world for the good thing they's found and if it's bad they can't see it because it can do no wrong and they turn their band on their best album if they puts it down

vermicious kid (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 10 April 2018 10:03 (eight years ago)

god's work

imago, Tuesday, 10 April 2018 10:46 (eight years ago)

great excelsiors with terrible last lols.

how's life, Tuesday, 10 April 2018 11:21 (eight years ago)

i was scratching my head trying to remember what old sitcom it was where the mom decides to remove offensive content of a book for her kids. then i remembered! The Addams Family did a show like that in 1965 with "Morticia the Writer" wherein she is upset with popular children's fantasy books (so much violence towards dragons!) and starts writing her own monster-friendly stories.

god that show ruled

Hazy Maze Cave (Adam Bruneau), Tuesday, 10 April 2018 20:18 (eight years ago)

WilliamC, Wednesday, 11 April 2018 14:28 (eight years ago)

your lack of quality control wrt reposting any link you remotely agree with just bc it lights up the [redacted] chamber of your brain means you're an enabler of bad writing and thinking, thanks

flamenco drop (BradNelson), Thursday, 12 April 2018 14:36 (eight years ago)

now Brad, I'm sure you are a clever enough and verbose enough writer to do a little better than this bowdlerised a shit word [redacted] thing. It sucks just as much arse as if you had used the damn word!

calzino, Thursday, 12 April 2018 14:44 (eight years ago)

flamenco drop (BradNelson), Thursday, 12 April 2018 15:04 (eight years ago)

calzino afaict is the UK version of qualmsley?

Mordy, Thursday, 12 April 2018 15:10 (eight years ago)

I'd love to see him dare drop the r-bomb or some version of in a Guardian commissioned piece, no but it's ok to do it on ILX!

Mordy is just a risible pseud clown!

calzino, Thursday, 12 April 2018 15:12 (eight years ago)

Calzino is good.

I think this argument is the result of a misunderstanding.

If we could get it over with so I can go back to pass-agg image sub-posting that would be great.

Wag1 Shree Rajneesh (ShariVari), Thursday, 12 April 2018 15:13 (eight years ago)

Calzino, Brad, Mordy, all good.

Buff Jeckley (Tom D.), Thursday, 12 April 2018 15:15 (eight years ago)
