Cousin yogurt beard (nordicskilla), Monday, 27 February 2006 22:43 (twenty years ago)

Adam, I realized a long time ago that you hate everything I love. 'S cool.

jaymc (jaymc), Monday, 27 February 2006 22:58 (twenty years ago)

I love beards.

Cousin yogurt beard (nordicskilla), Monday, 27 February 2006 23:00 (twenty years ago)

Do you still have one? I'd love to see it.

jaymc (jaymc), Monday, 27 February 2006 23:06 (twenty years ago)

Yes I have one. You'll get your chance.

Geological fondue (nordicskilla), Monday, 27 February 2006 23:07 (twenty years ago)

Adam, when I finally meet you, we will not watch Guffman together.

Casuistry (Chris P), Monday, 27 February 2006 23:08 (twenty years ago)

Great!

Geological fondue (nordicskilla), Monday, 27 February 2006 23:08 (twenty years ago)

Just to clarify:

Indian Food at 7 pm at Essence of India on the corner of Lincoln and Wilson in Lincoln Square of the Western Brown Line stop.

Be there!

A regular day at Worker Justice, Inc...

Jesse asks if he can help me with anything. I say that he can write a letter to one of my workers about an EEOC mediation in progress. This is what Jesse writes:

I hope this letter finds you well. I can only imagine the ravages the stress must be taking on your handsome chest. Know that I am here to ensure that the pressure does not affect your virility; I will be a harbor for you to bury your pain when you need it I am always there to embrace you with my arms and my folds of feminity.

Nutsy the Squirrel (pullapartgirl), Monday, 27 February 2006 23:27 (twenty years ago)

Note: I did not mail this letter to the worker.

Nutsy the Squirrel (pullapartgirl), Monday, 27 February 2006 23:28 (twenty years ago)

I think I'm leaving work on time.

But MAN, do I like Indian food or what?!

gbx (skowly), Monday, 27 February 2006 23:33 (twenty years ago)

hahaha "folds of femininity"

Paunchy Stratego (kenan), Monday, 27 February 2006 23:35 (twenty years ago)

Getting a Boner

Um....

jessssse, Monday, 27 February 2006 23:36 (twenty years ago)

I wish I'd known this morning that I'd be going out to dinner with cool people. I would have made more of an effort to not dress like a soccer mom.

xpost: I KNOW! I'm generally very pro-vagina, but that made me want to wash. Possibly douche.

Nutsy the Squirrel (pullapartgirl), Monday, 27 February 2006 23:36 (twenty years ago)

That was deeeelightful.

Casuistry (Chris P), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 03:18 (twenty years ago)

MMMMMMMMMMM.

jesseOooooooo, Tuesday, 28 February 2006 03:30 (twenty years ago)

Fresh!

A search of the former Wham! frontman's car reportedly yielded small amounts of cannabis and the club drug GHB, also known as Liquid Ecstasy, according to London's The Sun

Former Wham! frontman?? Liquid Ecstasy? I have not heard either of them called either of those names in a loooong time. GHB is certainly not liquid ecstacy. It is Liquid Rape.

jesseOooooooo, Tuesday, 28 February 2006 03:46 (twenty years ago)

It was Liquid Asking For It!

Casuistry (Chris P), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 03:48 (twenty years ago)

Heteroflexible! That's the term I was trying to think of, in the previous thread.

Casuistry (Chris P), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 05:50 (twenty years ago)

What about me now?

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 05:52 (twenty years ago)

You'd like Portland.

Casuistry (Chris P), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 05:56 (twenty years ago)

(You're one of those people who doesn't "do" AIM, right, J.?)

Casuistry (Chris P), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 05:58 (twenty years ago)

Sometimes, why?

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 05:59 (twenty years ago)

(I'm actually about to go to bed, though.)

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 06:02 (twenty years ago)

Oh, sometimes I am chatty. And I don't have your screen name. Etc.

(But if you or anyone else wants to say hi, I'm themin0rth!rds, but not googleproofed. Try me if I'm set to "away", I set it there when I'm "in and out" often.)

(Even though I should go to bed soon, since I'm going to a class early in the morning.)

Casuistry (Chris P), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 06:08 (twenty years ago)

Well I'll be damned.

I learned a ton about sushi just now.

jesseOooooooo, Tuesday, 28 February 2006 07:14 (twenty years ago)

I'm going to a class early in the morning.

Me, too. *yawn*

I had a lovely time at dinner last night. "Chris" is very nice. Nick and Sarah, too, but I totally already knew that.

Nutsy the Squirrel (pullapartgirl), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 13:07 (twenty years ago)

Sorry I looked a bit like death, at least according to the bathroom mirror there. That food was yum though.

Sarah Madkitten McLusky (coco), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 14:38 (twenty years ago)

"Chris"

gbx (skowly), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 14:53 (twenty years ago)

The food was absolutely delicious.

Sarah, you looked fine, but you seemed very frail. Nick too. Poor fuckers. Poor sick frail fuckers....

jesseOooooooo, Tuesday, 28 February 2006 15:01 (twenty years ago)

The Fake F1ctions new 7" - "Frail Fuckers"

Eazy (Eazy), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 15:04 (twenty years ago)

Hi! I'm back. I feel extremely disoriented today. Part of that could be that I've been reading that Karen Armstrong book about myth (got it from the library on my field trip with the stoods on Sat.) and not only is it absolutely NOT as difficult to understand as the rest of her books, it's like an E-Z version of ancient history. I've learned so many things! It's great. Recommended for anyone interested in a quick and easy read about the history of human-deity relations from the Paleolithic age to the present.

I feel like I've been gone forever. It's really only been 2 days, I guess.

Also, dudes, Spinal Tap is the funniest movie ever. One more thing: I am STILL SICK and have a yucky scratchy voice. Not as bad though.

Christmas shopping: CHECK

gbx (skowly), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 15:17 (twenty years ago)

Ugh. I feel you Amanda. I am definitely getting sick, but I couldn't call in today because I have a few things that absolutely have to get done. And I have to meet Maddie's dad for dinner and play a three hour gig tonight.

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 15:18 (twenty years ago)

HI!!!! Amanda, I missed you!

R. Kelsey (kelstarry), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 15:18 (twenty years ago)

Whee!

The Milkmaid (of human kindness) (The Milkmaid), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 15:21 (twenty years ago)

It has been a really weird weekend --I heard about two surprising new romances, a completely unforeseen breakup with rather serious consequences...I'm having doubts about whether or not I'm actually done with school (thinking of getting my teachering certificate for the K-12 system). The moon must be in a special cycle of general upheaval or something.

The Milkmaid (of human kindness) (The Milkmaid), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 15:28 (twenty years ago)

I'm single now...and it's weird. Good in some ways, weird in others.
I may be in Chicago next weekend (the 11th) with my dad and stepmom for some family time while in job limboland. They tend to retire early so if anyone wants to meet up for drinks, etc. let me know. I will know more details soon.

jocelyn (Jocelyn), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 15:39 (twenty years ago)

!

When did this happen, Jocelyn?

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 15:40 (twenty years ago)

(btw, my band is playing at the Green Mill on the 11th)

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 15:40 (twenty years ago)

OMG -- see? That's another breakup for this weekend, and I just heard about another one just about 5 minutes ago! Jocelyn, I'm sorry to hear that, but you sound like you're doing alright - are you alright?

The Milkmaid (of human kindness) (The Milkmaid), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 15:40 (twenty years ago)

(Poxy fuled)
I'm alright. Friday night. I just realized that our lives were going in different directions and that I needed time to myself to think about some stuff, and to work and study, and he wasn't allowing me any of that time. Also, I was starting to feel like a mom instead of a girlfriend. I'm keeping myself very busy and doing all the stuff I want to do for myself, like working out and reading three books at a time and making strange food concoctions.

jocelyn (Jocelyn), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 15:55 (twenty years ago)

That happens, I guess -- better that it happens now than 10 years down the road.

The Milkmaid (of human kindness) (The Milkmaid), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 16:19 (twenty years ago)

Oh no, I'm sorry, Jocelyn. :(

You should definitely come to the Green Mill with us (that's when I'm going, at least).

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 16:26 (twenty years ago)

How long were you guys together, Jocelyn (if you don't mind my asking)?

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 16:55 (twenty years ago)

Jocelyn, I have been where you are -- I'm sure lots of us have, but in particular that's how my last one ended. So congratulations to you (whether it feels like or or not) and really do enjoy the hell outta your Personal Jocelyn Time, now that you have it. Drop me a line any time you like.

Laurel (Laurel), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 17:00 (twenty years ago)

You're very brave, jocelyn. I'm sorry I won't be here when you might visit. I'm going to Memphis that weekend to visit me mum avec ma sister Hev.

Jenny, last weekend I felt like a sick cat. You know how a sick cat walks all stiff like with its back arched? Well I did that, walking across the living room to get water from the kitchen. Nick was like, "uh, sarah, what are you doing?" and I was like, "duh, walking like a sick cat."

Sarah Madkitten McLusky (coco), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 17:01 (twenty years ago)

You mean, like, on all fours?

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 17:03 (twenty years ago)

Ha ha. I didn't go that far. I was acting, but it required some imagination on the part of the audience as well.
