I dont feel like caffeine has a perky effect on me anymore - call it tolerance - but its a shame to not have a conveiient drug for boring momnets of life

Recommended to anyone in or around New York State - Forty Weight Coffee of Ithaca. Really good stuff. Hunting for it in the city since my local purveyor closed.

Beer tankard from Ikea. Holds 20oz/60cl. This is what I use for my coffee/tea. I don't do tiny mugs.

is that mug to suggest proper cup size or of coffe desire large like someone with steatopygia?

i like a large cup of coffee but i have an irrational aversion to drinking coffee from clear glasses

There’s some study or something about how the color of your mug changes your perception of the taste.

I mean obviously it should be tempered or able to withstand hot temperatures. I love those ikea glasses so much. But I drink a lot of fluids throughout the day.

So the Barrie House K-cups came. They're strong and approximate the taste of coffee better than others I've had.

we're taking a break (and saving a little cash) from the excellent Sump beans i've bragged on on here. been drinking this ikea coffee we've had in the cabinet that we got as kind of a joke. like, how good could it be! well, it's a little weird but not awful. still prepare it pour-over style cuz we no longer have a drip maker.

Now I am on columbia 8 o clock whole bean , but adding one scoop of cafe bustelo

It can be kind of cool to see the layering of espresso/milk/foam from side view when it's done well. I generally prefer ceramic but I don't have a special objection to hot coffee in glass tbh.

i always perceive the coffee to be hotter and weaker from a glass. i don't even want to drink it. a dark, heavy mug is my preference.

I have red ceramic, but usually my tea cup (Chinese purple clay w/ white glazed interior) is the only thing sitting in the sink. I like the idea of getting a set of French coffee bowls:

a cafe here serves their lattes in those french bowls, I like it but it also kind of feels like drinking my cereal milk as a kid.
