i don't think anybody has "the right" to be a cunt, if rights are meaningful in non-legal contexts

on the other hand i think if you mistreat animals they tend to not be better behaved for it.

the questions are really about the most effective methods of either not creating terrible behaviour or of training people not to exhibit it if you think it's an original component of human nature.

whether you could come up with answers to that without picking a side in the nurture/nature argument is an issue too i think

this morning filled with a great blue sadness reflecting the sky, like the dignified calm sadness of the universe, sadness at the immensity of the great work of time that's like a calm joy. so different to depression, i feel as functional as i wanna be, like i could fall up off the face of the earth and disappear into the blue above and that would be just great.

slightly wrecked by reaching the office and having to deal with my colleague's hyperactive chatter (to nobody) but never mind, not for much longer all being well. looking out the window and the blue's disappeared too.
