he is just coming back from injury, so might be ready for Swansea. But Williams has been doing well, so he could be on the bench. He was a shadow of his former self before he got injured.

They've definitely learned a few harsh lessons since the home mauling against Spurs. Not for Liverpool. In fact the foul – which was outside the box – is just grist to our injustice mill in a moment that makes no different to the outcome of the game. But for Newcastle's rivals in the scrap, their best defender gets away with a one-game suspension. Not that I would be advocate VARing or retrospectively banning him.
