I find a lot of "on" people are pretty chill in real life. I would hang with him.

I met him years ago at a show I played in NYC, around 2006 I think, before he had a tv show. He seemed very nice and chill.

A year ago, I was deleting spam messages from an address I rarely check anyway, and the sender's name "eric andre" caught my eye. I thought, wow, spammers are getting creative. Turned out it was actually from him...from nine years prior. He wanted me to join him in a noise band and play backyard wrestling events in Brooklyn. I tweeted a screenshot of the email at him and wrote something like, "Hey, just found this...I'm up for it if you're still up for it," but didn't hear back.

Always check your spam folder.

He is very chill IRL.

Bad Trip isn't really VERY bad. It's possibly the most unapologetically dumb thing I've ever seen (there's a lengthy scene where Eric breaks into a zoo cage and is repeatedly raped by a gorilla in front of a tour group of unsuspecting patrons) but it somehow keeps moving the chains.

i mean, to be clear, it IS really very bad. but it's watchable!

A lot of the bits were just him describing visuals that they would have executed if it were part of one of his show's episodes. Which was fine! It was fun.

I don't think standup is where he excels best, but he has kind of an astructural style like Bob Saget which I enjoy
