Thanks Steve!

Chris V. (Chris V), Friday, 31 January 2003 18:18 (twenty-one years ago) link

Add in a tattoo of Robert Smith on the other arm and it's perfect. That or one of Tolkien. ;-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 31 January 2003 18:19 (twenty-one years ago) link

hahaha Graham excellent moves with the random logo action!

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Friday, 31 January 2003 18:51 (twenty-one years ago) link

heres another. http://www.base58.com/misc/ilx.jpg

Chris V. (Chris V), Friday, 31 January 2003 18:55 (twenty-one years ago) link

i put that one in the T-shirt thread chris

stevem (blueski), Friday, 31 January 2003 19:02 (twenty-one years ago) link

oops.

Chris V. (Chris V), Friday, 31 January 2003 19:03 (twenty-one years ago) link

so now the cute pinky one's up there, is it permanent or is it on a test run? (i think it needs to be in a big magenta stripe across the top of the screen if it's permanent)

Maria (Maria), Friday, 31 January 2003 19:34 (twenty-one years ago) link

another stupid-pretentious one from me:

stevem (blueski), Friday, 31 January 2003 19:53 (twenty-one years ago) link

You can feel free to put mine into the rotation, Graham.

Chris V. (Chris V), Friday, 31 January 2003 21:08 (twenty-one years ago) link

Nice pig snout I'm rocking there. Mouth -- expression of emotion or dull line chopped in face by cleaver?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 31 January 2003 21:12 (twenty-one years ago) link

I like stevem's logo. And my dog.

Mandee, Friday, 31 January 2003 22:49 (twenty-one years ago) link

i could make a logo out of your dog if you like

stevem (blueski), Friday, 31 January 2003 23:03 (twenty-one years ago) link

Please do! He's right up there somewhere in the thread.

Mandee, Friday, 31 January 2003 23:12 (twenty-one years ago) link

What no props for mines? Thats what I figured...

Chris V. (Chris V), Saturday, 1 February 2003 00:24 (twenty-one years ago) link

even if this picture can't be the ILX logo, it should be the next Basement Jaxx album cover:

Chris P (Chris P), Saturday, 1 February 2003 04:28 (twenty-one years ago) link

I strongly object to ILX having any form of graphical logo.

Andrew (enneff), Saturday, 1 February 2003 12:34 (twenty-one years ago) link

ah its just a BYTE of FUN

stevem (blueski), Saturday, 1 February 2003 12:38 (twenty-one years ago) link

Why's that Andrew?
I'd like Peter Saville to design our logo.

MarkH (MarkH), Saturday, 1 February 2003 12:39 (twenty-one years ago) link

Because a logo gives us some sort of identity other than our words alone. I'd rather have our posts speak for themselves.

Andrew (enneff), Saturday, 1 February 2003 12:40 (twenty-one years ago) link

But the words alone are awful!

N. (nickdastoor), Saturday, 1 February 2003 13:01 (twenty-one years ago) link

Also, the posts include graphics. (See above.)

Chris P (Chris P), Saturday, 1 February 2003 19:13 (twenty-one years ago) link

i like 'em! my fave is the stevem heart one!! i think that should be the default

geeta (geeta), Saturday, 1 February 2003 21:31 (twenty-one years ago) link

I'll only include ones of limited height (=4 lines of text or less).

Graham (graham), Sunday, 2 February 2003 02:08 (twenty-one years ago) link

Graham, surely there can be a setting so to turn the random logos on or off? That way the antilogo folk can be spared.

Chris P (Chris P), Sunday, 2 February 2003 04:47 (twenty-one years ago) link

i'm with Ed and Andrew on this. What is with the obscene statement of corporate-style branding?

M, Monday, 3 February 2003 01:19 (twenty-one years ago) link

I demand the logos be removed.

Andrew (enneff), Monday, 3 February 2003 11:48 (twenty-one years ago) link

obscene statement = just text is luddite and boring and some of us just lurve pretty graphics...the logo means fuck all anyway (its not even a branding issue, esp. as the logo changes all the time) and if anything should amuse the majority of the parish, well it would if we did have a kitten one

stevem (blueski), Monday, 3 February 2003 12:04 (twenty-one years ago) link

I'm all for a logo, especially multiple changing logos. It's not as if it's on every page, and if you bookmark ile and/or ilm seperately you never even have to see it.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Monday, 3 February 2003 12:06 (twenty-one years ago) link

it might be worth making the distinction that there are those of us who just adore the concept of a logo itself, but that doesnt make us heartless capitalist pig-dog robots per se

mind you, i'm not happy with the use of my twee heart logo as such, mainly cos i increased the image size on purpose on this thread, which graham promptly took - but it just doesnt look right on the front page itself.

stevem (blueski), Monday, 3 February 2003 12:14 (twenty-one years ago) link

The new logos are cute. Why does everyone hate fun?

(The twee heart logo is the bestest!!)

rosemary (rosemary), Monday, 3 February 2003 15:37 (twenty-one years ago) link

So is there going to be a decision on this or not? Should we take discussion to 12 ft. lizards?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 3 February 2003 15:49 (twenty-one years ago) link

I could live with the twee heart one but the dog one is freaking me out, dunno why!

smee (smee), Monday, 3 February 2003 15:50 (twenty-one years ago) link

I said it was only a temporary thing. Would everyone be happy if I put some more up and then take them all down at the end of the week? That was always the plan.

Graham (graham), Monday, 3 February 2003 15:50 (twenty-one years ago) link

yeh cool, but lets do it again sometime - on a random basis

stevem (blueski), Monday, 3 February 2003 16:06 (twenty-one years ago) link

wheres mine? boo hoo.

Chris V. (Chris V), Monday, 3 February 2003 16:25 (twenty-one years ago) link

Too tall, sorry.

Graham (graham), Monday, 3 February 2003 16:26 (twenty-one years ago) link
