I have a customer who averages 2-3 $400+ statues per month in special orders. He's all over the place from superhero comics to Prometheus merch (with a special emphasis on large-breasted anime statues). I can't grasp being able to afford that (even with the 20% off I give him) but I really can't grasp having the room to put them all.

I have the theory that consumer impulse purchases and entire production chains created for Funko Pops are propping up the world economy

at the very least, it's a chain of purchases and production that encompasses more real world capital that bitcoin

A few years ago I bought one because they had released a Big Trouble in Little China set. It was me and my wife's favorite movie and I wanted to pick her up the Gracie Law one. So I walked up to my local comic shop and asked "so where are the Big Trouble in Little China bobbleheads?" And the guy said, nicely but still as a corrective, "they're not bobbleheads, they're Funko POP!" And right then and there I decided I was just gonna get that one.
