oh haha he IS injured :D

imago, Sunday, 10 December 2017 17:06 (eight years ago)

never been a more deserved injury ever

imago, Sunday, 10 December 2017 17:07 (eight years ago)

oh wait, he's not injured at all. went down for two minutes of treatment to avoid a red card. fucker

imago, Sunday, 10 December 2017 17:09 (eight years ago)

guess we have to try and do something now

truly abysmal performance

Number None, Sunday, 10 December 2017 17:14 (eight years ago)

I won't watch united under mourinho because he is a murderer of justice

remember the lmao (darraghmac), Sunday, 10 December 2017 17:25 (eight years ago)

That was not good at all. Jesse looks like a spare part again and isnt really getting involved. Maybe take him off, stick lindelof on and get Valencia and young to push a bit further up the pitch?

faust apes (NickB), Sunday, 10 December 2017 17:25 (eight years ago)

it's just been brainless

launching the ball up to Lukakau when we should be looking to get Martial and Rashford running at their (not very good) defence

Number None, Sunday, 10 December 2017 17:31 (eight years ago)

Pretty obvious that Mourinho's entire game plan was based on the assumption City would get 75% of the possession but their counter attacks have been very poor.

Matt DC, Sunday, 10 December 2017 17:43 (eight years ago)

Two cracking assists from Lukaku today.

Matt DC, Sunday, 10 December 2017 17:46 (eight years ago)

finally Lukaku makes an impact

fucking cowards from top to bottom

shameful shameful shit

Number None, Sunday, 10 December 2017 18:27 (eight years ago)

yeah there’s not a lot of positives there. pogba was so badly missed

faust apes (NickB), Sunday, 10 December 2017 18:34 (eight years ago)

Pogba was missed but not badly. It's the intention with which you send them out there that makes the diff. Mou doesn't want to play.

♫ very clever with maracas.jpg ♫ (Le Bateau Ivre), Sunday, 10 December 2017 18:35 (eight years ago)

I don’t know about that, he’s not started rashford and martial together in that many games before, so it was a fairly attacking team sheet

faust apes (NickB), Sunday, 10 December 2017 18:38 (eight years ago)

Attacking on the sheet, defending in the street

♫ very clever with maracas.jpg ♫ (Le Bateau Ivre), Sunday, 10 December 2017 18:40 (eight years ago)

Still the most competitive league in the world?

Action of Boyle Man Prompts Visitor to Stay (Tom D.), Sunday, 10 December 2017 18:42 (eight years ago)

there's no way these player are that bad (and City weren't even particularly good)

blame has to lie with the manager

Number None, Sunday, 10 December 2017 18:51 (eight years ago)

seriously concerned that Lukaku just isn't good enough though

Number None, Sunday, 10 December 2017 18:51 (eight years ago)

Obv can’t pin the result on him but zlatan looks terrible atm

faust apes (NickB), Sunday, 10 December 2017 18:59 (eight years ago)

he was fairly rubbish but at least he contested a few aerial balls

Lukaku gets beaten every single time. Barely tries

Number None, Sunday, 10 December 2017 19:02 (eight years ago)

I'm sure it's just a blip, but maybe give rashford a crack up front for a few games?

faust apes (NickB), Sunday, 10 December 2017 19:12 (eight years ago)

he's played every minute in the PL this season

no chance

Number None, Sunday, 10 December 2017 19:18 (eight years ago)

City weren't even particularly good

Gabriel Jesus looked off his game (not that you'd notice with Lukaku on the pitch) but I don't think this is true otherwise? Having said that, the current City midfield (certainly the KDB/Silva/Fernandinho trio) is one of the best there's ever been in the Premiership and them on an off day > most other teams.

Matt DC, Sunday, 10 December 2017 20:21 (eight years ago)

They barely created any chances and their two goals came from defensive fuck ups

They were obviously much better than Utd but they've definitely been wobbling in the past few weeks - which makes Utd's refusal/inability to play doubly frustrating. They were there to be got at today

Jose Mourinho in furious dressing-room bust-up with Man City keeper Ederson as tempers flare after Manchester derby

"Sources claimed the Manchester United manager had milk and water thrown at him after the spat with Ederson."

Milk?!

this has cheered me up a smidge

in what way? easing the pain of having continental pulis as the next boss to continue the failure?

absolute state of jose's man u - it's a lol festival for all. moyes plus ego.

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Monday, 11 December 2017 00:31 (eight years ago)

also like the fact united happened to be playing city today does not establish them as rivals.

city are city. a chasing pack will fumble around below them.

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Monday, 11 December 2017 00:33 (eight years ago)

I think we almost pushed City closer for a draw than M Utd did. Playing the same deep counterattacking game as well. They are a nightmare though - so many class players and even when you get some rare possession, they work hard with extreme intensity, like sharks on a feeding frenzy for the ball - every attacking move seems to get easily snuffed out in open play. Reducing you just to rare defensive errors or set-pieces as your only chances against the Wehrmacht onslaught.

calzino, Monday, 11 December 2017 01:30 (eight years ago)

Watching yesterday it was really obvious that, Matic aside, United just don't have the defensive players to play proper Mourinho football. Of the various CB options they have, only Bailly is really at the level they require.

Matt DC, Monday, 11 December 2017 10:16 (eight years ago)

(And he obviously wasn't on the pitch yesterday)

Matt DC, Monday, 11 December 2017 10:16 (eight years ago)

as bad as they looked yesterday, they still have the joint best defensive record in the league. slightly shuddering at the thought that we need a john terry at the back, i guess the bandaged and bloody rojo is as close as we've got but i feel he lacks the racist edge in his game

faust apes (NickB), Monday, 11 December 2017 10:37 (eight years ago)

Lindelof does seem to be improving, and his long passing was a vast improvement over Rojo when he came one

but yeah, our distribution from the back is a serious problem

Number None, Monday, 11 December 2017 10:55 (eight years ago)

and LG, you really cannot take a joke when it comes to Klopp
