Pards in at West Brom to take them as far as he can

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 11:11 (eight years ago)

Dangerously close to the Albion Christmas party.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 11:22 (eight years ago)

So, Sammy Lee. In the catalogue of players I've seen score against Everton in Goodison derbies, I'd rather have David Johnson on the EFC staff, for obvious reasons. Plus Lee was offside (18/10/80).

Michael Jones, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 11:46 (eight years ago)

What about Sammy Lee?

Action of Boyle Man Prompts Visitor to Stay (Tom D.), Wednesday, 29 November 2017 11:58 (eight years ago)

Joining Allardyce at Goodison, apparently. Where he will then bounce on the ground, I expect.

Michael Jones, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 12:01 (eight years ago)

Plus Lee was offside (18/10/80).

:D

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 12:03 (eight years ago)

(are those showing up? i've a no-link policy wrt the DM so copy pasted them)

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 12:06 (eight years ago)

surely the fact that Sammy was crap is a mitigating factor?

Centrist Pred (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 29 November 2017 12:13 (eight years ago)

For a club paying twp a million a month?

moyesery loves kompany (darraghmac), Wednesday, 29 November 2017 12:15 (eight years ago)

Mitigating in the sense that it's ok to have a Red on the bench because he wasn't very good? He seemed to do just fine in that Paisley side.

Anyway, other supposedly lousy Liverpool players who've scored against us in derbies: Rosenthal, Babbel, Kewell, Alan Frigging Waddle, Crazy Horse, Brian Bloody Hall, ok that's enough. (You're forgetting all the own goals, Mike!)

Michael Jones, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 13:58 (eight years ago)

babbel was pretty good imo.

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Wednesday, 29 November 2017 14:22 (eight years ago)

what we'd give for babbel, henchoz, hyypia and... ziege or whoever these days.

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Wednesday, 29 November 2017 14:23 (eight years ago)

Pards and Allardyce back in one day. What a time to be alive.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 14:32 (eight years ago)

Apryl in Pallardyce

moyesery loves kompany (darraghmac), Wednesday, 29 November 2017 14:34 (eight years ago)

babbel was pretty good imo.

― Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Wednesday, 29 November 2017 14:22 (forty-three minutes ago)

yeah wtf leave babbel out of this! he was decent (still is)

Well bissogled trotters (Michael B), Wednesday, 29 November 2017 15:07 (eight years ago)

Still is? He retired in 2007. I'm talking Markus, not Ryun. But fair enough, I only really mentioned him because he was basically a non-scoring defender who somehow managed to get one in a derby. I guess he was well regarded. Hall too. I'm not back-pedalling on Emlyn though.

We were 2-0 up in that match when Lee scored, btw. Ended 2-2. (We were played off the park, Jim McDonagh made half a dozen ridiculous saves. It was terrifying).

Michael Jones, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 15:50 (eight years ago)

ah right i thought you were referring to Ryan

Well bissogled trotters (Michael B), Wednesday, 29 November 2017 16:04 (eight years ago)

markus was better than ryan imo.

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Wednesday, 29 November 2017 16:21 (eight years ago)

Markus a very solid plays-full-back-probably-prefers-centre-half def

moyesery loves kompany (darraghmac), Wednesday, 29 November 2017 16:55 (eight years ago)

In my mind he was doing the whole marauding attacking fullback thing really early for the Premiership. I always thought he got a horrifically bad injury but didn't know about his illness, he just seemed to disappear altogether.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 16:59 (eight years ago)

My paid (!) sportsing channel always broadcasts all EPL games but tonight decided to only broadcast... Everton-WHU tonight. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 20:13 (eight years ago)

They're not even really broadcasting the match; I've seen more 'Big Sam in the stands'-shots than actual fitba.

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 20:15 (eight years ago)

a preview of Everton games to come

Centrist Pred (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 29 November 2017 20:16 (eight years ago)

Psyched LBI and the rest of the Nethlands is being treated to the renaissance of TWP.

Wag1 Shree Rajneesh (ShariVari), Wednesday, 29 November 2017 20:29 (eight years ago)

Netherlands, even.

Wag1 Shree Rajneesh (ShariVari), Wednesday, 29 November 2017 20:30 (eight years ago)

Impressive to see Moyes having such an immediate effect on West Ham

groovypanda, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 20:34 (eight years ago)

Damn you. xxp

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 20:35 (eight years ago)

I've got a Russian stream from the Emirates. We conceded early to a pretty tidy goal, but otherwise Arsenal aren't looking that impressive at all, and we should have had a pen - but as Burnley learned on saturday - these fuckers still get the bigclub special reffing.

calzino, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 20:36 (eight years ago)

We have started with Quaner who is so clumsy and inept 90% of the time that he sometimes lulls defences into a false sense of security.

calzino, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 20:37 (eight years ago)

Peak Moyes to be brought in as the saviour lord jesus christ only to lose 4/5-0 to a team in possibly even more disarray.

Dutch tv otm.

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 20:39 (eight years ago)

Is Van la Parra still injured?

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 20:40 (eight years ago)

VLP is suspended, he sent at the death against City.

Just our luck that Everton start getting their act together just before we play them.

calzino, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 20:41 (eight years ago)

We are missing him as well.

calzino, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 20:42 (eight years ago)

sent off at the death

calzino, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 20:42 (eight years ago)

Ahh yes, ta.

No despair, wouldn't say Everton are getting their act together just yet. I mean they are playing a Moyes side tbf.

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 20:44 (eight years ago)

How has Solanke been doing?

Matt DC, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 20:44 (eight years ago)

I can hear Moyes yelling at his players for all of the first half now. But I don't think the players can hear him.

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 20:46 (eight years ago)

can't believe that this is how rooney pays moyes back for all the faith he put in him

damian green is people (NickB), Wednesday, 29 November 2017 20:49 (eight years ago)

It's not very nice.

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 20:50 (eight years ago)

lol! Giroud goes around a stranded Lossl and misses an empty net.

calzino, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 21:02 (eight years ago)

West Ham actually bossing this second half. Comedy capers at the back for Everton.

Arnautovic though... They actually paid 28 million for that dude. Incredible waste of money.

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 21:12 (eight years ago)

ffs just completely undone in 2 minutes. All started by fucking Hadergjonaj cheaply giving the ball away.

calzino, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 21:13 (eight years ago)

It gets even worse!

calzino, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 21:14 (eight years ago)

Oh dear..

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 21:16 (eight years ago)

West Ham come to life at last

Phil McNulty

BBC Sport chief football writer at Goodison Park

West Ham's start to the second half carries all the hallmarks of a team given the most almighty rollocking at half-time.

Pickford saves a pen

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 21:18 (eight years ago)

(sorry but this is the entertainment I have tonight, after a hard days work, and I'm adamant to make the most of it. Distopia for the masses)

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 29 November 2017 21:19 (eight years ago)

O_o

Wag1 Shree Rajneesh (ShariVari), Wednesday, 29 November 2017 21:26 (eight years ago)
