I really like the bits they've done re: poor Scott and how horribly unlucky he is.

i dont mind the agent thing because howard is genuinely inspired when doing them. the scott's terrible days recorded bits ARE GREAT and full of a pathos that was rarely found in the show.

Jan Hein still my least favorite tho

Jan is interesting though. He's the most likely to go postal one day, and when he has lost it (iirc at Benjy ~2 years ago), it's just amazing. He's so full of rage and never expresses it. He's also just fucking weird. Not moving from the front of the line after he's ordered at McDonalds, "So I make sure they get my order right"? There's a very thin veneer of class and courtesy over the storm inside of him.

xp I haven't listened but heard yesterday's show was unbearable. I cancelled my subscription a while ago, ever since they kicked Benjy out of the studio and having Brent/Jan/Jason in more regularly I've lost interest. I'll check it out... also the Paul interview. Didn't realize it was only his third appearance on the show (others were 2001 & 2009).

yeah Howard on terrestrial radio has to be one of the most well documented and widely preserved shows of all time. that whole "releasing tapes" stuff during the election was total BS. anyone can find Trump on the show.
