What Do You Look Like May 2009

Oh man. :-( Did you get to give them a cuddle? Was considering doing this 3 week work holiday thing at one of those orphanages until I read the fine print and found out you're not allowed to touch the orangs. WTF? Damned if I'm going to travel to the other side of the globe and shovel ape shit without being able to even pet the adorable little bastards.

Anyway, pic is quite cool too. That sky!

Closest you could get to them was about ten feet, unfortunately. Still interesting to watch though. The jungle was full of other monkeys who were really tame, they'd let you come right up to them and occasionally shoot you an adorable inquisitive glance.

Tuomas - what part of Germany were you in? Most of my family lives in the SW.

In a small village outside Rostock, I think it was maybe 20 kilometres from the city. The German friend I visited lives in Rostock, but she had a graduation party, and it was at her parents' house in this village. Even though I'm really a city guy, I found it quite idyllic. We only spent a couple of days there though, the rest of the vacation was in Rostock and Berlin. Otherwise I might've gotten an overdose of nature.

Sounds nice. I love Berlin.

OK Lex you're taller than I am and you're rocking four inch heels? I mean, I could try that but I would severely injure myself and anyone around me in the process. Kudos to you lady - that's awesome!

I actually walk better in those than any shorter heels.. they've got like, rubber traction on the bottom, it's incredible (but discreet)! When you have size 11 feet (thanks, life) you sort of buy any heels that fit, and I got these Michael Kors for ~$30

I'm impressed. I can manage about 2 inch heels but only just and not for very long before they start bothering me. Flats are my friends.

oh yeah, I definitely changed into flats later in the night.. but it was a wedding in a church so had to be ladylike for a few hours!
