you know when you wake up in the middle of the night and you have that taste in your mouth that is a combination of alcohol dehydration and i ate way too much sugar

q was like "oh the guy fieri store is closed!" then ran off to the bathroom. then the bartender, the poor guy fieri bartender, asked ME, "oh i can get in there, do you want any guy merch?"

In the background you can see the FROZEN SHOT DISPENSER. Frozen shots were actually the biggest disappointment of the night. Somehow I was convinced that the shots would be the consistency of a slushy; instead, they were just cold. shots.

it was so enormous. it had crunchy things made of clustered potato chips, which quincie hammered apart with the spoon.

Yeah sorry about that, I was pretty aggressive but man, those things were hard!

I think the cheesecake filling was quite OK, good texture and not too sweet. But the crust was shit. Mostly I was grateful that it wasn't a a huge amorphous blob with a bag of old bay Utz potato chips dumped on top.

I'm beyond the point of thinking critically about Guy these days. Probably because I (and most people, including ilxors) would probably eat at many of the places he highlights on his show (2x bonus if it's a damn food truck). And also because Food Network runs it so repeatedly during weeknights that I'm at that point where Triple D has sort of become some fucked-up bizarro-ASMR that I can easily fall asleep on the couch to. It's no "How It's Made," but my current cable subscription doesn't seem to carry the channel for that.

Kinda sad that harbl and I didn't make it to the NYC outpost.

I only watch broadcast tv when I'm at the gym, and this means that two nights out of the week I get to watch Chopped or similarly decent cooking competition shows (Iron Chef etc, all ideal gym fodder). The other days it's 100% guaranteed to be 'Triple D', which is too bad because I just can't look at his face.
