Being excited that summer's over is such an alien concept to me

september for me means it's going to start raining at some juncture and will likely do so fairly consistently until may or june

i am three miles from the ocean and it is 101 degrees in my classroom :-/

the heat index is actually only about 90 degrees outside but my AC is malfunctioning and my classroom has an uninsulated "tin roof"

Summer's back was broken early here by Hurricane Harvey, we had bizarrely autumnal weather in Austin the weekend after the hurricane looped near us. Now it's back to hot September doldrums though. Looking forward to the first real cold front so I can play my summer's end song:

true fact: earth wind and fire's "september" was written about the first appearance of the angel moroni to joseph smith on september 21, 1823.

September is my fave month, not only because it boasts at least two of the greatest month-titled songs (EWF’s, and “September Gurls”), but also for the Lisa Simpson-esque reason that it is the longest possible time before more Summer.

(Yes, yes, I know—much of September is still technically “Summer”)

september also gave us "september song", "september in the rain", "september the ninth", and some songs not sung by robert wyatt like richard strauss's "september", sumire's "september love", and moonriders' "jellyfish sea in september".

it's a good month but it's getting a little warm for my tastes

just got the second cool front of september, pretty unusual for texas... usually gotta wait for october for a nice north wind. ready for a real cold front to roll across and drop temps down into the 50s at night though.
