I'm starting to feel like I have too many left podcasts, that thing where keeping up with infotainment starts to feel like work. Recently added Trillbilly Workers Party, which I like a lot, and Adam Johnson's media Crit podcast, which I also like a lot, but those plus Chapo, streetfight, intercepted, the dig, delete your account, Doug Henwood, whew!

yeah it's exhausting, i can only keep up with 4 at a time, including the Stern Show.

Streetfight is kind of rambling and a little silly but the hosts are very likeable and there is some gold here and there. i usually just tune in when i'm caught up with everything else. and i'll prob make a point to catch them live when they come through town.

Depending on your opinion of Matt Taibbi and Alex Pareene, there's the Tarfu Report. The most recent ep with David Rees was pretty good.

There's Jeb Lund's This Week in Atrocity who had on Paul F Tompkins a few days ago, where Paul was talking political stuff in a way he never usually does

Amber's NPR voice interviewing the French guy is hilarious, given how often her appearances are stoned+crass.

I enjoyed the fact that she led the episode, especially as she's the only one who can pronounce anything in French at all

Freddie accused someone from Viewpoint Mag of date rape. Then a bunch of people started dragging on Amber, Angela Nagle, and Zero Books for their takes on antifa . And Katie Harper ranted for hours....

Deboer got into a tiff with Malcom Harris after Harris retweeted a link to an article criticizing Deboer and some other writers. Deboer flipped out and baselessly accused Harris of rape then deleted all of his tweets. He subsequently wrote a blog post announcing that he was leaving social media and getting help for his mental health problems. He did not apologize for the accusations.

Maybe he believes what he said about Malcolm Harris and only acknowledges that, in the absence of proof, it was inappropriate for him to talk about it. He must have been referring to a specific incident

yeah hey speaking of which i saw Angela Nagle get a lot of heat on left twitter about her book, wtf was that all about? she's giving a platform to fascism by writing about it? that's ridiculous. i was just disappointed that the book was so short & full of typos as someone pointed out way upthread. i remember someone called her transphobic - what?

The typos were apparently due to the initial run going out with the wrong copy or some such, it was fixed after the first 5000 or something.

I would think the line against Nagle is her stance against no-platforming, which tbh I think is fairly argued on her part
