Mary-Louise Parker and Molly Parker. I'm rewatching Six Feet Under right now, and I'm looking at Rabbi Ari and wondering if it was the same actress in Angels in America.

WeenWeezerWheatus
They were all "alternative" rock bands of the 90s that got some play on MTV, I guess? But hell if I can remember which is which.
― Tuomas, Wednesday, 23 August 2017 20:49 (eight years ago)
You could try listening to the music

Agree with Tuomas about those W bands. Have no idea which is which.
― Eyeball Kicks, Wednesday, 23 August 2017 22:28 (eight years ago)
Wheatus and Weezer. Both were punkish American rock bands that had a novelty hit song in the 90s, never could remember which was which.

His father's name is ... Michael A. Jordan.
― pplains, Saturday, 16 September 2017 20:28 (eight years ago)
(xposts) I get Phoebe Snow and Minnie Ripperton mixed up--"Poetry Man" and "Lovin' You" were released within a couple of weeks of each other and, I'm guessing, climbed the charts at the same time.

Ed Walsh/Eddie Plank/Ed Reulbach
Their careers were almost simultaneous. The first two are in the HOF; Walsh had the ridiculously low ERA, Plank 300+ wins. Reulbach's not in there, but his ERA fell between the two, and his W-L record was very similar to Walsh's.
Rube Waddell/Rube Marquard
These two are easier to sort out. They're both in the HOF, but Marquard got started just as Waddell's career was winding down. Marquard looks like a really specious HOF pick; Waddell was the better pitcher, though he did have a short career. No stories that I know of about Marquard; Waddell, according to one of the first baseball books I ever read, liked to chase trains--he was, depending upon what era was describing him, either eccentric or crazy or, according to Bill James, most likely developmentally challenged.
Reading Jay Jaffe's HOF book right now.

waddell also liked to chase firetrucks iirc :D

Checked his Wikipedia page soon after I posted, and yeah, I evidently had him mixed up with Superman there. And the much simpler explanation for his behaviour seems to have been alcoholism.

House of CardsHouse of GamesGame of ThronesI've watched all three, so obviously I don't mix up the actual content, but whenever I'm supposed to say the name of one of them, I often mix it up with the other two, leaving my spouse confused... "Can't wait to watch the next episode of House of Cards and seen who the zombies will kill this time!"
