Well. What you're missing is a sort of sickly sweet cartoon picture of a sort of village made out of mushrooms in which the mushrooms are sort of turned into quaint belle epoque houses, with strings of little lights all over. I know there were rich and poor, but not nearly so wide a discrepancy and the rich were expected to distribute gifts among their group. Tbr there was also a "sense of possession". I greatly doubt there was no hunger. The other claims seem valid enough, but kind of lopsided.
