helo fine ppl of brighton, i'll be frequenting yr lovely town over the next few months, as after a couple of years of being a failing academic i've finally managed to get a little lecturing work. for the most part i'm unfortunately basically going to be getting in for long working days and heading home, but do let me know if anything good is happening on mondays or thursdays.

Hi there! I work on the Falmer campus at the moment, although in a non-academic building.

Why Mondays and Thursdays by the way?

o i'm part-time so those are the only days i have to be in just now, though once i have office space maybe i'll occasionally fancy making the trip down when not strictly necessary. thursday fap sounds an excellent idea - once i'm clearer on schedules and departmental obligations we can start trying to plot that.

(it's at brighton uni, at the campus right in the middle of town - not a place i knew that much about before tbh but it all seems v nice.)

How's the job going? I don't work so would be happy to meet up for a daytime coffee if you don't have time for an evening beer at the moment.

Band of holy joy are supporting blue orchids. I saw blue orchids at a C86 anniversary gig in London a few years ago and they were really good. They mightve been the best band that night except I can't remember if that was the same year I saw the June Brides. If it was that year they were the second best band

There's a Sarah records gig at the Green Door which I would've been all over if I hadn't already bought tickets to the London night the next day - even as we speak, boyracer, secret shine and action Painting.

I've seen 2 fake even as we speak gigs over the last 15 years which were basically Mary Wyer plus whoever she could rope into doing it but apparently these ones are the real deal. Also I think action painting may be responsible for my favourite ever Sarah single
