loved how much Knope's "male"over looked like her Hillary impersonation
all i could think of was the time on antm when they made some model pose as trump and melania.

LOL yes I remember that! Very similar, actually.

really hope they didn't hire that guy from All The Real Girls just have to him colin-firth around saving her ass, bridget jones style.

I kind of get the feeling that that is what they are having him do, though. I only watched five minutes of this last night though so I don't know if it was much better/different from last week.

Saula (Nicole), Friday, 8 May 2009 16:48 (seventeen years ago)

This show is getting better. This and the Boys' Club episode were both pretty decent. I laughed hardest at the neighbors waving while throwing their trash into the pit.

WARS OF ARMAGEDDON (Karaoke Version) (Sparkle Motion), Friday, 8 May 2009 17:18 (seventeen years ago)

It's already been renewed for a second season, but I think the current season ends next week (making it only 6 eps...kind of like how The Office began). Here's hoping Parks and Recreation's second season is anywhere as close to the same quality.

Johnny Fever, Friday, 8 May 2009 17:23 (seventeen years ago)

just listened to that fresh air interview this morning. poehler's kinda tedious. i liked the palin rap best.

tehresa, Friday, 8 May 2009 19:23 (seventeen years ago)

kind of puttering out for me now.

Finale was quite funny, I thought. The band was truly wretched in the best way.

WARS OF ARMAGEDDON (Karaoke Version) (Sparkle Motion), Saturday, 16 May 2009 19:34 (seventeen years ago)

I need to see the whole thing. I only caught the last 15 mins on Thursday night.

Johnny Fever, Saturday, 16 May 2009 19:35 (seventeen years ago)

I tried REALLY HARD to like this.

dice in my pockets (csa), Saturday, 16 May 2009 19:40 (seventeen years ago)

The final three eps were LIGHT YEARS better than the first three.

Johnny Fever, Saturday, 16 May 2009 19:43 (seventeen years ago)

thought the last ep was really good.

lol'd pretty hard @ the student intern - oh he's not my boyfriend, he's the gayest dude i know i just make out with him sometimes when im drunk

ditto

for me, poehler's not doing what she's good at. like to me she's awesome when she's all bratty and sassy smart girl, like when she did the news...or doing like that "whut whut" shit like in baby mama or blades of glory....

i just think she seems to sharp to buy her as this faux naif female michael scott character....

Brolotov Cocktail (n/h) (M@tt He1ges0n), Saturday, 16 May 2009 19:59 (seventeen years ago)

I think for her to work well in episodic tv, though, her character needs a pretty flat baseline. Her bratty/sassy persona would grate pretty quickly if put out there every week. But this way, she has plenty of room to throw stuff around and see what sticks.

Still optimistic for a good second season.

Johnny Fever, Saturday, 16 May 2009 20:02 (seventeen years ago)

This last ep definitely gave me more optimism for the show than the previous ones I'd seen (I skipped the last couple of weeks). I'll probably be back for next season.

Nhex, Saturday, 16 May 2009 20:02 (seventeen years ago)

Go watch "The Banquet" on hulu. I think it was the funniest of the six.

Johnny Fever, Saturday, 16 May 2009 20:08 (seventeen years ago)

given how long it took the office to reach its peak im willing to give this show a certain amnt of leeway

s2 begins tonight!!

she started dancing to that (Finefinemusic), Thursday, 17 September 2009 17:31 (sixteen years ago)

I honestly read that as "sb begins tonight". I have not suggest banned it yet, but I usually forget to watch it and end up doing something else.

The ever dapper nicolars (Nicole), Thursday, 17 September 2009 17:40 (sixteen years ago)

LOL @ the cold open.

Johnny Fever, Friday, 18 September 2009 00:31 (sixteen years ago)

Love the intern's "complicated" relationship!

Johnny Fever, Friday, 18 September 2009 00:43 (sixteen years ago)

I started singing PJDU at the same time she did, which I found both hilarious & upsetting.

she started dancing to that (Finefinemusic), Friday, 18 September 2009 00:45 (sixteen years ago)

I can't tell if the writing got better over the summer or if I'm just more familiar with the characters now. Some of both, probably.

Johnny Fever, Friday, 18 September 2009 00:46 (sixteen years ago)

Both of their phone numbers!

she started dancing to that (Finefinemusic), Friday, 18 September 2009 00:46 (sixteen years ago)

It's still a bit too much The Office w/ Amy Poehler for me.

Mordy, Friday, 18 September 2009 00:50 (sixteen years ago)

I think a bit of both - definitely feels like the show is much more at ease with itself.

OMG living in the pit!!

Flipper & Eve, not Flipper & Steve graffiti FTW

Third Paragraph

Really?

The Wild Shirtless Lyrics of Mark Farner (C. Grisso/McCain), Saturday, 26 September 2009 17:00 (sixteen years ago)

is it really that surprising?

iatee, Saturday, 26 September 2009 17:06 (sixteen years ago)

I hope the show sticks around, it's pretty funny.

WARS OF ARMAGEDDON (Karaoke Version) (Sparkle Motion), Saturday, 26 September 2009 17:12 (sixteen years ago)

I'm seeing a nightmare scenario w/P&R getting replaced by "SNL Thursdays" once 30 Rock comes back.

The Wild Shirtless Lyrics of Mark Farner (C. Grisso/McCain), Saturday, 26 September 2009 17:26 (sixteen years ago)

The first two weeks of the season, P&R has been my favorite out of NBC's Thu night run. Makes sense it's on the block I guess... shit I think is funny usually gets canceled. What else would they put in its place, though? Another crapfest like Kath & Kim?

Johnny Fever, Saturday, 26 September 2009 17:31 (sixteen years ago)

Jay Leno wanking for a half hour.

The ever dapper nicolars (Nicole), Saturday, 26 September 2009 18:02 (sixteen years ago)

Sorry, I just grossed myself out so I probably made others slightly ill there as well.

spunking all over denim-saturated motorcycles

kingfish, Saturday, 26 September 2009 18:06 (sixteen years ago)

I would/will watch Amy Poehler in basically anything and sometimes I find P&R amusing, but it's sooo *slight* - sorta on purpose, I guess. It's just impossible to imagine this show getting the type of fanbase that it would take to stay on air. even if it were really funny!

iatee, Saturday, 26 September 2009 18:07 (sixteen years ago)

The second episode this season was the best episode of this show so far.

Your heartbeat soun like sasquatch feet (polyphonic), Saturday, 26 September 2009 18:15 (sixteen years ago)

It would benefit by being sandwiched between The Office and 30 Rock, but that would require them moving The Office to 8 and 30 Rock to 9... which actually would be a pretty great idea, leaving Community at 9:30. Of course, NBC won't move The Office out of the 9pm slot.

Johnny Fever, Saturday, 26 September 2009 18:15 (sixteen years ago)

chris pratt's character's development (or de-evolution) is my favorite part of the show

chris pratt's character's development (or de-evolution) is my favorite part of the show

The shot where they cut to him and he's standing knee-deep in the pit and munching on a carrot absolutely slayed me.

more Louis C.K. pleaze

The Wild Shirtless Lyrics of Mark Farner (C. Grisso/McCain), Saturday, 26 September 2009 20:38 (sixteen years ago)

he will be recurring throughout this season

am0n, Saturday, 26 September 2009 20:41 (sixteen years ago)

his bit at the end was the best thing in the whole episode.

can i lust (tehresa), Saturday, 26 September 2009 20:47 (sixteen years ago)

Def much better in the new season. Louis CK yes. Azir yes.

Aziz is great. "These are Souljaboytellems. Those are bonethugsinharmoniums."

Julio Iglesias, makin cream like that (Whitey on the Moon), Sunday, 27 September 2009 01:57 (sixteen years ago)

it's been hit or miss till this weeks but this was the best one yet. Aziz keeps stealing it though with his shirts. The gay one last week and the monogrammed one this week.

But everybody was good...the boss in the chair even.
