A merely grammar-based AI would generate wholly nonsensical memes, because not every verb makes sense with every subject or object. There must be a semantic element at work there, unless Inspirobot generates utter nonsense a fair amount of the time. Confession: I haven't wasted spent time mindlessly clicking it and seeing what it spits out.

obviously it is coded beyond literal actual mad libs, and it occasionally shows its cracks

qualx, Monday, 17 July 2017 05:13 (eight years ago)

Perhaps it is hybrid - that is, the memeage is in fact auto-generated, but a person culls the selections to favor the absurdities most likely to be thought funny by internetz. The ones that are simple non sequiturs without lol appeal are discarded to increase the apparent quality of the overall pool.

Ah, I see, it is AI in the sense that dumping a box of Cards Against Humanity cards on the floor and randomly selecting one of each type is AI.

Dan I., Monday, 17 July 2017 21:37 (eight years ago)

It's a bot, it's not AI.

emil.y, Monday, 17 July 2017 21:54 (eight years ago)

idk why being pedantic about what ai means is necessary. when I was a kid that meant dr sbaitso and this seems to be on that level

mh, Monday, 17 July 2017 22:36 (eight years ago)

this entertaining meme generator uses impure AI, to the dump it goes

You mean like in The Office, and Superstore, and every TV sitcom ever, but actually never in real life?

Bnad, Thursday, 20 July 2017 13:38 (eight years ago)

there is no difference between TV and reality

a supervisor made my co-worker cry a couple weeks ago, for good reason not in an abusive boss way, and that night she posted this to her instagram

i mean the criticism was needed, not the crying. the crying was unnecessary.

Seems like you could put almost anything in place of butterflies there.

Without butterflies, there'd be no parasitic butterfly wasps.

qualx, Friday, 28 July 2017 22:44 (eight years ago)

before I wanted everything to stay the same, now I don't want that any more

qualx, Friday, 28 July 2017 22:45 (eight years ago)

My teenage niece has a wall decal that says "Nothing happens if you stay in your room."

My wife looked at it for a second and said, "Wow, that sounds really nice! "

no matter how much things change the more they stay the same butterflies

Yoni Loves Chocha (VegemiteGrrl), Friday, 28 July 2017 23:20 (eight years ago)

If nothing ever changed there would always be the exact number of butterflies that there are at the moment.

Well. What you're missing is a sort of sickly sweet cartoon picture of a sort of village made out of mushrooms in which the mushrooms are sort of turned into quaint belle epoque houses, with strings of little lights all over. All this happening within a dark forest, and a caption in quirky olde-time font reading: 'For every encounter I have today, I will choose to see the positive side'.

Let's see if this one works:

mushroom link here (will probably expire sometime, apologies to the future)

google image search result links to images on pinterest are the worst. first they only link to the set, not the image and secondly pinterest throws up a 'login to see more' thing when you scroll down.
