Ten-year-old nabisco offTM:
Here's something funny: when I was ten years old I had a vague admiration for Donald Trump and Lee Iacocca (both very feted at the time) and a downright intense love of Alex P. Keaton from Family Ties, who I didn't understand to be something of a joke. As such, despite having really liked Mondale -- having a woman as a running mate impressed me, probably because of the mother/father dynamic of it -- I was convinced that I wanted to be a Republican and a businessman or lawyer of some sort. In fact, I started a "company" with my friends Brian and Jeff -- we made board games, and hired Tony, the best breakdancer I have ever known, to do the art -- and I was constantly attempting to read the law and economics books in my father's library. Everyone seemed to think this was "cute," though I sort of wish someone had just explained politics to me. In either case, I got over it quickly and went back to wanting to be a writer....― nabisco (nabisco), Saturday, June 14, 2003 1:28 PM (fourteen years ago) Bookmark Flag Post Permalink

You certainly don't, pal, 'cause the good news is - you're fired. The bad news is - you've got, all of you've got just one week to regain your jobs starting with tonight. Starting with tonight's sit. Oh? Have I got your attention now? Good. 'Cause we're adding a little something to this month's sales contest. As you all know, first prize is a Cadillac Eldorado. Anyone wanna see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired. Get the picture? You laughing now? You got leads. Part of my problem is that I have to do a lot of things myself. It takes so much time. Julio Iglesias is coming to Mar-a-Lago, but I have to call Julio, I have to have lunch with Julio. I have Pavarotti coming. Pavarotti doesn’t perform for anybody. He’s the highest-paid performer in the world. A million dollars a performance. The hardest guy to get. If I call him, he’ll do it—for a huge amount less. Why? Because they like me, they respect me, I don’t know.

Newt Gingrich, asked about this in an interview in 2106, indicated that Trump would be a person of vigor in the mold of Teddy Roosevelt - his drive and manic energy were such that he'd be working out the problems of the nation while also playing a shit-ton of golf

Still not getting the "he doesn't look like a guy who's gonna die soon" as evidence of his supposed longevity. I mean, yes, the amateur internet doctor thing is aggravating, and they tend to overstate shit, but my grandma's ankles looked like Trump's 1-2 years before she died. And she appeared to be in generally fine health 2 weeks before she died. Otoh my dad was in way worse shape than Trump and managed to last 3 more years
An old friend of mine dropped dead (literally) at 42 a month ago, bloody vessel burst in his head and he collapsed and it was over.
You don't know one way or the other, so unless we're gonna run our own PredictIt! , idk the point of the back and forth.
What i think we can agree on is that the dude looks significantly degraded in mobility (and if the rumors are true, motility), his ankles look like Easter Island statues, and he falls asleep as much as my supposedly healthy grandma did.
The dude is not exactly aging well
