A girl I work with at Catch found a free can of spray paint on Craigslist, so one night after work (9PM) she went to the near South side and picked up her paint.

My toaster oven is "chrome" and the top of it is rusty. It looks gross, so I was going to get some high-heat BBQ spray paint and save myself the cost of a new toaster oven.

The toaster oven is the most completely useful appliance I've ever owned. It's the only way to effectively and efficiently revive french fries.

I bought a new pizza pie cutter since our old one was rusty.

I could of just spray painted it.

we had a good day culinarily yesterday. went up to argyle to a chinese/european bakery for croissants and cakes, and then went to a grocery store up there to get some sauces and things we can't find in whole foods. then to a middle eastern deli by the hopleaf and got a ton of food and took it for a picnic in the botanic gardens. it was so good! some kind of artichoke and parmesan thing with garlic...yum.

A pizza cutter is cheap. Why throw away a $70 appliance when a $7 can of spray paint will fix it?

On the other hand, I just looked at the toaster oven, and it has way more problems than I first thought. So maybe I will go for a new one after all.

Toaster ovens are one of those appliances that get spattered and DISGUSTING and are really hard to clean.
