i have other coffee making vessels but moka pot is the absolute best for making quick iced coffee at home, just brew it and pour over ice

can you all share your cold brew methods?

what ratios do you use? fyi I don't have a scale so id need volume measurements

I don't have volume measurements but I make flash iced coffee - 500g water, 45-50g coffee, brew onto 250-300g ice

When I have leftover beans mason jar cold brew is a 4:1 ratio

get a kitchen scale man theyre super handy, i put 65 grams into a french press

80g coarse grind coffee in a 24 oz mason jar filled to the top with water, left in the fridge ~12 hours, then filtered through chemex filter.

Stole the basic idea from milo z way upthread (thanks!) after messing around with the Toddy a bunch of times.

guys i just used my aeropress to make cold drop and it was FUCKING INCREDIBLE.

he doesn't mention a specific proportion of water to coffee. for a double shot i use two scoops of coffee - medium grind - i'm still working on the specifics - and about a glass of water. the fiddliest thing is getting the right rate of drip. at first my water was coming out too fast so i put a piece of scotch tape on the cap, the edge of the tape just hitting the hole, so as to partially block it. you can also play with the angle of the bottle - that will change how fast the water drips out. but dudes. it is SO EASY. and it's FREE.

i was able to look up some grams to volume measurements for coffee, thanks eveyrone, i had some this morning and it was delicious

cold brew is much stronger huh, flavors were deeper than my bialetti and i noticed the caffeine a lot more

cold brew actually has less caffeine iirc

but now that i google it i find that the opposite is stated in many places

seems like bean for bean it does have less caf but just use more beans

When I started drinking cold brew I would down half a mug of concentrate without diluting. Definitely got the caffeine shakes a few times.

beans smell better than brewed coffee and weed smells better in the bag than smoked (although for some reason weed smells best when someone else is smoking it off-screen)

I always drink Cafe Bustelo but I often find variations in flavor - I wonder if they just select whatever region has teh cheapest coffee that day to recoat - columbia, guatamela etc

Ordered some of the draft latte/triple draft latte/cold brew cans to keep at my office. The only canned coffee I can get locally is Stumptown or Cuvee, both $5/can at Whole Foods, so hopefully these are palatable.
