It's really tragic for both Valentina AND Nina. The elimination was the direct result of both Nina's crippling self-doubt and Valentina's blind self-confidence. And if Valentina's embarrassment was a stinging shock, Nina's going to be taking more than her share of the burden of fan fallout.

I just don't get, like.... CLEARLY Valentina was supposed to slay Nina and send her home, and we've had people in the bottom two like this many many times before and the stronger person has always knocked it out of the park, how is this anyone's fault but V's?

Logic doesn't exactly prevail when you're dealing with a show that trades in so much artifice.

also most queens who make it even past the first 4 or 5 episodes wind up being big enough in their own right on the RPDR circuit for a few years but like how do you bounce back from this? Inevitably this will define her from here on out

I think, eventually, she'll be able to leave it behind her (Phi Phi *almost* pulled it off), because a pretty face buys a lot of leeway. It won't be easy, of course, but a lot of people are going to give her the benefit of the doubt (rightly or wrongly). All that said: entirely inexcusable. At least she owned up to it.

Any hate spilled onto Nina is entirely stupid (while she and Valentina both contributed to falling into the bottom two, nothing Nina did DURING the lipsync made Valentina unprepared), but then don't bet against stupidity on the Internet and of the people.

i think valentina will be ok. it was shocking and sad in the way stevie describes but i think people recognize her talent, and she wasn't defiant or arrogant about her lip sync disaster like charlie hides. it was a very human failing, people usually empathize with that. also i think i read something about her being pretty popular anyway.

sad for the show tho. i think she was really talented and unique and i hope she gets brought back on the inevitable next edition of all stars.

Way upthread a couple of years back or so, the big change was noted in that there's very little emphasis on creating something in the work room to wear anymore. It's the one element I would change back -- you can tell people already have their costumes and things brought to bear.

i'm in2 Shea, Sasha, and either Peppermint or Trinity in the top 3. Alexis is terrible and I have to say I'm really fucking disappointed with Nina's shitty-ass attitude.

Anyone who bombs the Snatch Game is always going to be fighting an uphill battle with me, so even tho Pep has grown on me, I'm not ready to declare her top 3

i mean even Shea is giving up on her. at least Trinity K Bonet had a turning point before she went home
