This is where I complain about it being 14C (about 58F, I guess) in Scotland, which is too hot with the amount of moisture. I can't function.

You're alright. I think I would just die over there. I spent a couple of months in the US (during a heatwave) about 20yrs ago and have stayed in Scotland since. (Also I hate flying). But I can't stop sweating - two showers before lunchtime.

Sitting in the dark in shorts and a tank top feeling sticky. This stupidity is depriving us of a fall in which you can look forward to putting on a sweatshirt or drinking tea. Being hot and sweaty makes me very uncomfortable and sick-feeling but I'm actually more angry at being denied seasonal experiences.

one of my co-workers is a runner. his rule of thumb is that if the (fahrenheit) temperature + dew point > 150, it's too unpleasant and borderline dangerous to run.

it was 69 in Milwaukee today. too hot? not really, but weird for the season.

[Current temperature anomaly](http://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/tanal/temp_analyses.php) doesn't get weird until west of the Bismarck-OK City line on the plains. In Rapid City, SD (for max T) or the Oregon/Idaho badlands (for min T) its pretty off the charts.
