it has also had the effect of encouraging me to "like" with more abandon - on a more generous, instagrammy tip - and curb my retweets, cause i know some of the things that i like but don't retweet will get picked up by the algo and slipped into followers' feeds anyway

wld have to agree that icymi works pretty good

it does often show me tweets that i didnt miss tho, which is odd

ya i follow way too many ppl so i appreciate ICYMI, but i roll non-algorithmic otherwise (and there should be an option to turn it off. in fact i was under the impression there was one but couldn't find it). found the algorithm was a little too good at spitting my recent trends back at me, creating a positive feedback loop where i would see EVERY tweet by certain accounts, and none from others that i still liked

Tweets in ICYMI should not be eligible for RTs. Hobos finding tweets they missed and RTing them just puts old tweets at the top of everyone else's timelines. Savage.

in general, once you've Liked or RT'd a tweet you shouldn't see it for at least a week

I'm anti-ICYMI. If I follow you, I didn't miss it. There is never a scenario where it is conceivable that I would miss it.

icymi annoys me bc i'm on twitter all the time and when i go to twitter i want to see what was just tweeted since the last time i went on twitter, not shit that was tweeted 16h ago or 22h ago when i was on twitter the day before

also i've already hit the "x" next to icymi to see it less but it still shows up all the time

spend less time on twitter :P

tina springtime is some wacky twitter person who works as a local organic farmer somewhere and apparently went from mildly amusing to full on fascist, conspiracy theory crazy and allied herself with other malcontents over the course of idk, hours or weeks or something.
