gr8080, Friday, 10 March 2017 02:23 (nine years ago)

Made the rustic apple tart tonight, and bought a chocolate spice coconut bar. Will report.

I've noted it before, but I love the paella.

Show us your foods!

nickn, Friday, 10 March 2017 18:47 (nine years ago)

Currently I am liking:

Tamales
Gyoza
Pizza dough - a staple (though I slightly prefer my own, it takes too long)
Chicken sausage
Dried pitted Montmorency cherries
Dark chocolate-covered cherries
Pinachio cookies
Caramel cashew cookies
Roasted/salted almonds

Winewise, they have a couple different Primitivos that I have bought and am looking forward to trying.

may all your memes be dank (Ye Mad Puffin), Friday, 10 March 2017 18:53 (nine years ago)

i have used their pizza dough much but it's so bland no matter what you do to it :-/

Fluffy Saint-Bernard (Stevie D(eux)), Friday, 10 March 2017 19:07 (nine years ago)

this was mostly a fill-up run (i like to go to tj's after therapy because it's soothing and this week i was rewarded with 'a view to a kill' on the stereo when i got there); also i gave up chocolate for lent. i bought a bottle of wine, the fresh mozz cheese sticks, a new york strip, the heat and eat brussels, "handsome cut" french fries, haricots verts, blueberries, honey roasted peanuts, cheese crisps that are all cheese, hash browns (my favorite thing!!!), strawberry preserves, tahini, and chickpeas. also two clutches of red roses, which i combine in my mason jar vase.

maura, Friday, 10 March 2017 21:40 (nine years ago)

i figured out how to make those hash browns so they're exactly like mcdonald's. it is the best

maura, Friday, 10 March 2017 21:40 (nine years ago)

gosh

Fluffy Saint-Bernard (Stevie D(eux)), Friday, 10 March 2017 21:41 (nine years ago)

how???

Fluffy Saint-Bernard (Stevie D(eux)), Friday, 10 March 2017 21:42 (nine years ago)

Same here. My toaster oven has a setting for frozen has browns! it makes them 90% perfect

calstars, Friday, 10 March 2017 21:47 (nine years ago)

salt the oil

maura, Friday, 10 March 2017 21:55 (nine years ago)

Really dig the European style yogurt, esp with the small frozen blueberries mixed in.

JoeStork, Friday, 10 March 2017 21:55 (nine years ago)

SALT THE OIL

maura, Friday, 10 March 2017 21:55 (nine years ago)

To each their own I guess

JoeStork, Friday, 10 March 2017 21:55 (nine years ago)

Uh what oil

calstars, Friday, 10 March 2017 22:49 (nine years ago)

gr8080, Friday, 10 March 2017 22:54 (nine years ago)

Yoni Loves Chocha (VegemiteGrrl), Saturday, 11 March 2017 00:13 (nine years ago)

Oh ok now I understand

calstars, Saturday, 11 March 2017 00:52 (nine years ago)

OH you mean the patty hash browns!! I was thinking the shredded taters and was like "ok i salt the oil but what do i do with all of these potato shreds?????"

Fluffy Saint-Bernard (Stevie D(eux)), Sunday, 12 March 2017 14:36 (nine years ago)

hah yeah the patties!

maura, Sunday, 12 March 2017 14:39 (nine years ago)

gr8080, Sunday, 12 March 2017 14:43 (nine years ago)

sassy! I want to do that

Fluffy Saint-Bernard (Stevie D(eux)), Sunday, 12 March 2017 14:50 (nine years ago)

ooh

Yoni Loves Chocha (VegemiteGrrl), Sunday, 12 March 2017 14:51 (nine years ago)

eating JUST mandarin orange chicken w/ rice feels excessive and decadent, what are your favorite add-ins besides broccoli??

Fluffy Saint-Bernard (Stevie D(eux)), Sunday, 19 March 2017 20:57 (nine years ago)

scallions

mh 😏, Sunday, 19 March 2017 20:59 (nine years ago)

What if you took that and put it in a burrito

“Yeah. Huh, thanks.” (los blue jeans), Sunday, 19 March 2017 21:20 (nine years ago)

chicken AND rice? get the fuck outta here

musically, Monday, 20 March 2017 18:03 (nine years ago)

I mix either spinach or the "cruciferous crunch" bagged blend into anything I deem vegetable-deficient.

weird woman in a bar (La Lechera), Monday, 20 March 2017 19:59 (nine years ago)

three weeks pass...

Did Trader Joe's discontinue their all time goat mvp, crushed garlic in a jar? Last two times I've gone they've only had diced garlic which isn't nearly as good.

musically, Friday, 14 April 2017 16:56 (nine years ago)

Answer seems to be: yes, they discontinued it.

a little too mature to be cute (Aimless), Friday, 14 April 2017 17:20 (nine years ago)

Visit any Indian grocer. Great big jars of crushed garlic, crushed ginger, or both for much less than the fresh forms. It loses some pungency from the processing, but its easy enough to compensate.

behavioral sink (Sanpaku), Friday, 14 April 2017 18:00 (nine years ago)

Christopher Ranch brand crushed garlic is the best and is sold in major US supermarkets. Dunno if TJ's is US garlic or Chinese (which is possible).
